Posted : 17 Nov, 2010 12:14 PM I am finding it very difficult to meet Christian men my age and was wondering if men have that same difficulty. My church is a small to medium sized congregation with few singles in my age group. We've tried more than once to begin a singles ministry and it's not been successful. I work in a small business where I seldom interact in person with people so I have no chance to meet anyone there. For myself, I find it extremely uncomfortable to go to singles activities where I don't know anyone at all. So, after all that...do you guys have this problem and if so what do you do about it? You're very correct about Adam having the deck stacked against him! :^) I know in my heart that God has a plan in mind for me and I just pray that I have the courage and strength to stick with it and see what it is. I personally would not consider myself to be intimidating, but different people respond in different ways. I try to always be myself in whatever situation I find myself. I don't think I am judgemental about people who might not be quite on the same level with me as far as how I write. (I'm a closet writer..LOL). Anyway, thanks for the suggestions! Post Reply

Posted : 17 Nov, 2010 09:41 PM @ Twosparrows~~I don't believe that any of us are perfect and we are all bound to say or do the wrong things sometimes. Judging others is (in my opinion) something we fall into so easily and must be on constant guard against. I feel I'm a very fun loving and light hearted person for the most part and I think I'm pretty tolerant. However, there are some things that don't work well for me. Smoking is one of those things. Everyone has the right to choose for themselves, but I don't want to be partnered with a smoker. I'm not judging someone for that, but it doesn't fit well with me. See what I'm getting at here? We all have lines we must draw to be comfortable...things we CAN live with and things we CAN'T live with. Anyway, that's the way it works for me and I can only speak for me. :^) Post Reply

Posted : 18 Nov, 2010 05:31 AM I will have to say yes if you're doing on your own,no if you're searching with GOD LOVING HAND to GUIDE us as men . I once ask that myself when i see some ladies at my & other churches "behaving" like they are no different than girls who i might possibly meet on the street it makes want go out there sometimes and meet an "unequally yoked" women.That was me in deep doubt then.But now i see things differently with Gods' help & always try to keep Luke 1:37 in my mind when that "feeling & time" might want to approach me again. Not only is is hard to meet a good christian girl in a small town but I'm shy and I don't get out much. Also a lot of my interests aren't things normal people do so yea. LOL. I am really into movies though. I love checking out new movies, especially anything sci fi, action/adventure, or fantasy. Well I joined a christian dating site hoping to have a wider connection with christian ladies but the biggest problem I run into is distance, compatability, and the simple fact that most women on here don't know what they want or their expectations for a man are too high. I felt like I met a girl who seemed like what I was looking for but she told me she's not ready for a relationship right now. Kinda funny that she's on a dating site and not ready for a relationship. It's like if you don't want to catch a fish don't put any bait on your hook and cast it in the water. LOL. I'm hoping to find me a catch but I'm praying and trying to wait on God's timing. Everytime I think I can do it I find myself worrying about the fact I'm still single but I'm learning to move on and focus on what really matters... Post Reply

I can't say that I have. I've been on several over the past 4 or 5 years and I've had some dates and some disappointments but have yet to find the man God has in mind for me. Blessing on your search! That's where God's discernment and keeping in communication with him come into play, I think. Keeping in mind the good boundries God has given us helps a lot also.
