Admin	I feel respected when... Posted : 6 Nov, 2010 10:57 AM It's fairly common knowledge (I think? I hope?) that respect is a huge thing for guys. When a guy doesn't feel respected in a relationship it really tears him down. Because men and women *are* different, I'm not sure that us gals have an accurate picture of what respecting a guy really looks like. We've seen bad examples in society and perhaps even in our own homes. Also, I think that what it takes for a woman to feel respected is probably somewhat different from what it takes for a guy to feel respected. Everybody I knew who drives a manual is male and none of them will teach the women in their lives how to drive them! I understood why my dad wouldn't teach me, since his manual was a corvette, but I don't understand why guys in general seem so resistant to teaching women this! Guys seem to want to keep their toys to themselves. They're like that with power tools too. My dad let me use a couple of his tools, but it was only after lots of begging. Those are really good ones, SilverFire. I should print that list so I can keep all of that in mind =) Post Reply
