Have you ever thought of literally following Luke 12:33 ;

"Sell your possessions and give the money to the poor."

Have you ever REALLY considered it?

Does it scare you to consider it?

A question was asked how one plans for it.....



When I did....planning was tried but all for naught. In actuality, I spent from March through May pleading with God not to do this and begging to be let off the hook. Surely I was misunderstanding. Surely God did not have my family sacrifice so much to educate me just to have me work for free. Of course I was not understanding what He wanted....wasn't I?



Nope, I understood. And yep, I was to use that education in service and forget about recompense. My time and abilities were His and He would use them as He chose. Essentially, hush up and do what I say was the directive.



Concerning how to start....listen. Know God's plans (as much as anybody can and if you get good at it, please share the knowledge with those of us .. namely me... who stink at it) and work to help bring those plans to fruition.

Thanks for your post Elisa - even a double one ;) I have a feeling that the more we plan, the more we're gonna mess up whatever God has for us to do. That's me anyway. It's like those old books that have all the different sections and at the end of the first section it says "if you turn left, go to page 32. If you turn right, go to page 113." Plan a little, to get to the decision spot, than then gotta wait. Hmmm I haven't heard from God yet, but I think He would say to turn left.... nope WAIT for it!
