And a lot of it is up to whoever marries you. If you have a specific pastor whom you want marrying you, you would need to find out the church's requirements on engagement length and premarital counseling. Personally, I want to know someone for a few years before getting engaged/married. I know that seems long, but I would like a sufficient amount of time to be at least 99% confident that I am not marrying an axe murderer. Post Reply

However you can still marry someone and not fully know who they are. This happens in marriages all the time. My mother always told me that you won't know a lion until you have to den with him. You don't really know someone until you're actually married to them, and the morning after your wedding night you wake up and think, "OH MY GOSH! WHO IS THIS PERSON NEXT TO ME???" because it's a whole different ball game. I mean OBVIOUSLY you know who they are :ROFL: But like your mother said, you don't really know them until you live with them. But I think that's part of the fun! Post Reply
