1st to InitiatePosted : 10 Sep, 2010 04:52 AMMaybe this question has already been asked, bu are men turned off when women initiate contact? Is there a difference between the wink and the e-mail. Is this an age thing? As an older woman, the unwritten rule "back in the day" was to wait for the man to initiate contact. |

1st to InitiatePosted : 10 Sep, 2010 09:10 PMI doubt it's a personal thing. The vast majority of women really don't like sending messages. Then again, the only guys that like it are the ones who can consistently get responses. Like most things in life, it gets easier the more you do it. |

1st to InitiatePosted : 10 Sep, 2010 09:45 PMI'm old fashioned, and want the guy to initiate. But online, I don't see how sending the first message or wink is any different than just being friendly to a guy you've just met at church/school/work. You know, "Hi, how are you? I'm Beth...what's your name?" Just throw the line out, and see if he bites. If not, oh well...no real loss. If he does take the bait, though, he can initiate the rest of the relationship. |
