Admin	Can men and women just be friends? Posted : 8 Sep, 2010 06:25 PM If a guy says he's just looking for friends, does he really mean it? What does he really mean? Is it possible for men and men to form deep friendships without at least one person developing feelings for the other? Guys do you have any girls that are friends that started off friends and STAYED that way? I need viewpoints on this! :) Post Reply

Posted : 9 Sep, 2010 06:22 AM I think it's definitely hard...the only female friends I've had were related to me, except one...and that one, I had feelings for previously and lost them. So in all cases, a relationship would have been out of the question, and that may have been why "close" friendship was possible. Maybe that's why it's usually difficult to stay "just friends". A "relationship" is still on the table. If you take it off the table, maybe you really can be friends with the opposite sex. :peace::peace: Post Reply

I have had many men friends and there is mutual respect and appreciation without the need for the physical confirmation. Men can be good friends, they respect a woman's view and give regard to her "preferences" as far as topic for conversation is concerned. Do men always get attracted? Some do, but not all. Women also make good friends for men, they listen and show a lot of care/support when the down times are there. I have a man friend who confides personal things for advice and he needs someone "just to be there" and listen. I think that' s what a friend is all about. Post Reply
