Admin	If my boyfriend says that he... Posted : 6 Sep, 2010 11:52 AM ... prefers my hair to be really long, should I keep it that way? Right now it is about 3" above my waist and I'm thinking of cutting maybe about 6-7" off. I would never again cut it above my shoulders because then people tell me I look like Shirley Temple. And while I love Shirley Temple and, in fact, still watch "The Little Princess" every once in awhile, I don't really want my hair to resemble that of a child's. I want my hair to be sexy, not cute, if you know what I mean. Also, I go back to school in 2 weeks and don't want my hair to look bad the 1st day. So, even though I'm really eager to chop off some swirly curls today (I cut my own hair!), I should probably wait until a week or so into school... just in case. Not that my hair looks bad when I cut it. I only messed up 1 time and that was years ago when I was still getting the hang out of. Now, I do a good job and people always want the name of my stylist =) Chop-chop swirly curls in 3 weeks maybe? Or should I keep it growing because of my boyfriend's preference? Post Reply

Like...you get mad when I don't wear the clothes you like or something, but I'm supposed to be ok with everything you do. Just don't have expectations for him that you won't have for yourself, and I'm sure he'll be understanding and hopefully do the same for you. A good way to tell if a guy really loves you is if he wants you to be happy over having all his little preferences fulfilled. Just remember that it goes both ways. If you're both doing things to make each other happy instead of worrying about yourselves, then you will be happy with each other. A selfless relationship. I don't think it really has anything to do with being "submissive", it's more about "do unto others". :peace::peace: Post Reply

Posted : 6 Sep, 2010 10:27 PM On the topic of submission, InHisHonour and I are listening to a Family Life Today broadcast right now on the topic =) It's talking about being part of the flow chart and the speaker is really entertaining =) As far as why guys like long hair, some guy gave me a very sexual explanation one time about the woman's hair falling over her shoulders while she does a certain something that probably isn't appropriate to state specifically here. Alot of my preferences seem instinctual, they are there instant and without thought, alomost pure emotion. I guess the same can be said of women and why they like men with square jaws, big arm etc. I remember when I was married and my ex chopped off a good bit of her hair. For her hair is given to her for a covering. 16 But if one is inclined to be contentious, we have no other practice, nor have the churches of God. While those verses speak of having ones head covered during prayer, I also think that it speak to the reason why men prefer women with longer hair. Cobbler Post Reply

Posted : 7 Sep, 2010 11:03 AM I really do think that a lot of the attraction the different sexes have toward each other is just some kind of curiosity/mystery about the things that each sex does/doesn't have. Most women like the masculine aspects(muscles/tall) that they don't usually have themselves, and most men like the feminine(curves/fine features) that they don't have. Long hair is attractive to most guys probably because it seems exotic to them. If they have long hair to run their own fingers through, it probably wouldn't be as attractive to them. :peace::peace: Post Reply
