Would it be okay w/ you if your bride was super shy and didn't want to be kissed in front everybody at the wedding and just wanted a brief hug instead?

True... But I can't even decide if I should cut my hair! Every time I glance at some wedding planning thing my eyes just about pop out of my head...

Why do you think it's so hard for you to make decisions?

I'm afraid of making the wrong one and of causing irreversible damage to my life.

In the end though, God is sovereign. Look in Acts (somewhere around 13. I can't remember exactly) where Paul and Barnabas want to go to Asia. They wanna go do ministry there, so they head that way. The Holy Spirit forbids them to go and does not allow them to enter. It's very clear that we can only resist the Spirit as long as God allows. They wanted to go, God didn't want them to, so he didn't let them. We can't irreversibly mess up our lives because God's got it in His hands. Seek Christ, and don't be afraid of action. As long as you're seeking Him, you can't make the wrong choice. Just keep moving forward.

You're right. But sometimes my emotions don't feel that God is sovereign even though I know intellectually that He is.

In moments like that you need to just preach truth to yourself. Your emotions will follow back.

Okay.

I guess it's kinda like that "Fact-Faith-Feeling" train illustration that Campus Crusade has... That one I'm always telling others about but don't apply to myself as I should!

When you read Desiring God, he'll have something to say about that, but in this situation, I think it applies.

It's not a fast read, so don't get frustrated. It's no big deal to take your time. It's certainly not a finish-in-a-day book.
