I think it was Walter Trobisch who said, Theres not a man on earth who can satisfy the heart of a woman.

What might be your comment on this? ... smile

with respect,

Ann

I think the heart of a woman is an ever-changing thing, and congrats to the man that can satisfy it! For a time-being or a lifetime

Yes, we do have needs, very individual.. :)

Sometimes we even don't understand our hearts and our needs.

If we are with God ( i.e. the question of maturity) we are somehow responsible how they are satisfied.

In a deeper sense only God can satisfy woman's or man's soul/heart needs - therefore He died on the cross..

.. GOD can satisfy our needs THROUGH a person

Love gives..

it is more blessed to give than to receive

satisfaction is an award or blessing from the Lord for our obedience to His word/will

agree it's an honest and doublesided deal between man and woman

what about this? -

*If you consider the purpose of marriage at the beginning, God created woman because the man had needs. He needed a helper.

*We love Him (him) because He/he first loved us.

I've definitely seen couples happy. I asked an older christian couple how they had been happily married the last like 40 years. The husband answered, "I say, yes, mam, no mam!" Lol.

I think he means more along the lines, as he just shows her a tremendous amount of respect. Kinda funny though! :)

This is a case to case basis, I believe that the key word is "contentment." We all know what 1 Corinthians 13 says about love and I think we ( men & women ) are all longing for someone who can satisfy our hearts. And yes God comes first because He is our source, the first Lover of our soul. And through Him we will be able to find satisfaction from the portion that he has given & will give in the future.

Psalm 84:1-2 How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart & my flesh cry out for the living God.

Proverbs 20:6 Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find?
