Why is it so hard to find a christian guy?Posted : 5 Feb, 2010 09:33 AMI find it very hard to find a good christian mate. Because of that I have been single for the past ten years. I have been propositioned by many men who are not christians and growing up with the belief that believers should not be unequally yoked I refused to be drawn into such relationship. I am now wondering if I have made drastic mistakes because it is easier to find men who are non christians than christians. I would really like to know if other ladies have gone through the same problem. I would also like to know if I should give up my search for the perfect christian mate and open myself to any possible relationship without compromising my christian faith. |

Why is it so hard to find a christian guy?Posted : 5 Feb, 2010 08:24 PMHi. Sometimes, as women, we must stop and take a good long look at ourselves, all aspects. Would a truly Christian man desire us. Am I too perfect of a Christian. No one can be too right in obeying God and following his precepts. It is how we are perceived by the so called Christian man that we want. Are we giving off vibes that we are too holy to be bothered. Everyone likes "down-to-earth" people. People that you can meet for one time and talk for hours. It is possible. If our true Christ-likeness shows through, Christian men will be drawn to us. The Jesus in you will connect with the Jesus in him. I heard you say that you are not looking for perfection and that is good in a sense. But also remember that every stage of the growing process of a grain of corn is perfect. From its death once under the soil, to the production of the full ear of corn, that is to say the blade breaks through the ground-perfection, the growing in height-perfection, the baby ear or corn without corn- perfection, the fully grown ear of corn, without the ripe corn-perfection, to the fully ripe ear. People are at different stages in their spiritual lives. Also remember, you can't look for the perfect beautiful stallion that you need amongst cattle :). Most of all, pray, because only God truly knows that hearts of men. Remember what he said about Abraham, "I know him... He will direct you and your christian soul mate to each other. |

Why is it so hard to find a christian guy?Posted : 6 Feb, 2010 09:03 AMYeah...it's hard to find a good christian...anything...anymore. I don't know what to tell you. Maybe God wants you to focus on Him for awhile. Maybe He's in the process of moving a great guy in your direction. I know it's gotta be lonely...believe me...but patience is one of the greatest things a christian can strive for. God does know what is best, and we just have to wait on Him. Just keep an eye out for His leading. It could happen tomorrow! If you see something that seems too perfect coming at you...with circumstances that are too coincidental to be coincidence...then that's probably God giving you what you've been waiting for AND what is best for you. You just have to be ready for it. |

Why is it so hard to find a christian guy?Posted : 6 Feb, 2010 11:17 PMPeople really do have different ideas about what it means to be a Christian. For some Christians, drinking any alcohol whatsoever (wine, beer, liquor, etc) is forbidden. For others, drinking wine is ok. Thats just one example. |
