I have a situation that I would like honest opinions.

Hi Everyone, Ill get straight to the point. I have known this guy for approximately 4 years. When we first met, we attempted to date, we went on a few dates and even kissed; however the relationship didnt work out.

I ran across him again about 2 years ago at church and we exchanged numbers. We both have grown so much and we have became great friends, we talk about everything from the bible, my current boyfriend and his children mother. He has two girls that I adore and love spending time with them. We go to the movies, he comes over for dinner etc, but lately my feelings have changed and I begun wanting more than a friendship. Ok, I have spoken to him about my feelings and to my excitement he agreed. He said his feelings has become stronger and he is really attracted to me..but(here comes the but) he says he doesnt want to mess up a good friendship. I have one question do you think its just an excuse or do "Christian" guys actually think like this.

I was always taught that I guy knows what he wants and it doesnt take long for him to figure it out.

O yea, he says he doesnt want me to close the door on a relationship and one day we might be together.

I agree but, honestly most men as a whole are unable to handle one on one.

What does your current boyfriend think about your dilemma?

Sorry guys I haven't been on for a minute but I wanted to say thanks for all of your responses.

I have summed up all of your responses to what I have been thinking for quite sometime. He doesnt want to be in a relationship with me and regardless of what his reasons are, its that simple. Now, here comes the hard part, do I still continue to be friends with him and hide my feelings or just let our friendship go? Its harder than usual because this is my first Christian guy friend who believes and understands the word of God. So, I guess thats what Im afraid of losing but a friend just told me that just as God brought him into my life, he'll bring someone else.

Well thanks again for all your responses and God Bless!!!

Ps. I broke up with my boyfriend because of this delima and I expressed to him what was going on, and he totally understood. He gave me my space and we are currently just friends.

I have another post that I might be posting so keep an eye for it.

Thanks again

A few things come to mind. You mentioned that you have a current relationship, so it's actually cheating if you're spending time with this guy u have feelings with, regardless if you physically touched or not, you're mentally cheating. 2ndly, He could have another women but he wants to keep his options open for you guys just incase his current relationship doesn't work.

Or, he has feelings for you as a person, but he really just wants sex. (He's not gonna tell you that though)

He doesn't want a serious commitment. Do the math and ask yourself this question and then ask him. HOW CAN A GOOD THING BE MESSED UP BY HAVING A STRONGER

COMMITMENT(MARRIAGE)? He's a grown man and both of you rekindled your relationship and made it stronger after 2 years soooooo what's the problem. Either he is afraid of commitment or he don't want one with you. Christians aren't supposed to get into that, "eternal boyfriend-girlfriend", thing.
