I find that even Christians are not truthful when it comes to showing others their real identity.

Profile Photo vs Now Photo

How many people actually have a current (within 1 yr old) photo?

The first gal I ever met on this site, I thought I was meeting her mother instead! Her pic was a GOOD 10 years old.

I think there should be a guideline that you should post no pics more than a year old. It does NOT benefit you to have pics on your profile that don't really look like you because it makes you look deceptive, and makes me wonder what ELSE I'm going to get surprised with!

To answer the question (and stop pontificating) my main pic was taken in August and the rest are no more than 1 year old.

My main pic (THE FOOD) was October. The rest are current Nov and Dec 2009 pics.

Yup...A picture holds a thousand words and not all persons on any dateing site including CDFF are honest. And then some do not have the capibilities or know how of pix upload. I agree with the 1 year span.

So for the record...my pixs are all from 2009. Sooooo...I guess its time for some new ones. Dang !!! I'm always behind the camera not in front...lol...xo

I can't really say that I agree with a 1-year time span, but I do think that there should be some sort of "guideline" that everyone is encouraged to follow. I know that I chose a couple of the older pictures because they show me doing something that is an important part of my life (traveling, performing, teaching, etc.). I did, however, make sure that they are not so old that they are deceptive!

liv2love, I hear ya. And it's so hard to not show it in your face when ya meet her. :excited: lol

I don't think people change that much in a couple of years but ya the high school pics, or the ones with pics of a dog or other critters are they looking for a date for their pet?

Then there's the ones with more than one woman in the picture... does this mean I get to pick?

Or the guys who hold up a fish! Ah it's all fun.

HeyGreen,

Is that a Pompano? Nice size! Bake the filets in a bag with butter and spices...ummm...yummm!

Photos of Dogs and Cats and Fishes and Salmon speak of the Nature of the person and are indicators of their personality. Individual photos should be recent (within 3-5 years). even if the photos are recent -- they usually are of the best angle ...the best side and when you meet them, you will have to start over again with the visual aspect of the relationship.

The less surprises the better.

Hi Arch,

It's called a Rooster Fish. Caught it in Costa Rica. We let it go and it did swim away. Had a good fight with him though for some time. Wouldn't mind going back there again some day.

Now.... I agree that, for the most part, it would benificial for everyone to have an updated photo. However, I have come to realize that there are situations in which having a photo up would NOT be a good thing. For instance, I recently met a gentleman on another site that contacted me and told me he did not post a photo because of his job. (My detective skills immediately went into play...) and when I asked, he told me he was a judge. Sure, enough, is iindeed a very high profile judge, and having his photo posted all over the Internet would not be a good thing! In his first message he did offer to send pics to my e-mail that were recent, and he did jump through several other hoops to prove to me that he was who he claimed to be!

I will admit that my defenses are up more with someone I cannot "see". I am looking for the reason he won't be open and 'honest'. I am going to do more investigation than I might otherwise.

So, I have learned that my first opinion of "Faceless People" is not always correct.... and I need to apologize to those of you who I have judged prematurally.

Be blessed.......

Cherished,

Are you saying that you judged the Judge prematurely?

Judge not the Judge or ye be judged by the Judge!

It's just a "judgement" call! Snort! SnIKeR!!
