I am a very deep thinker.

I love to write, which is usually where I pour out my feelings, instead of just saying them to a friend.

It is hard to find men/guys that are willing to share with me or anyone for that matter.

This is a battle that has raged since God created Man, as Adam felt lonely but I do believe He didn't tell that to God (correct me if I am wrong, I haven't read the dialogue in a while), but God knew his anguish, and created his need.

So, us girls/women, we are not God, we can't read your mind men.

Can you please either, A) clarify why this is such a problem with most, so I can help work around it?

Or B) Please explain to me what exactly the reasoning behind it all truly is?

Those questions sound alike, but they really aren't if you read carefully :)

Thank You for reading.

I would love to hear your thoughts, men or women.

I can't speak for every guy, but I know that when you share your feelings with someone you are making yourself vulenrable to that person. I guess sometimes people don't want to put themselves in the position of appearing vulnerable

I think its a man woman thing!

Feelings can be good, but they can also be bad, they change alot, and you cant always trust them.Feelings can have a lot to do with your perception at the time.I always try and find the truth behind my feelings,I trust wisdom and logic way more than feelings....LOL.....Now Ill never get a girlfriend...BOOHOO!

P.S.but feelings like love, and empathy are usally good, need a lot less examination!

In Christ

I tend to be a deep thinker also. It tends to be my nature. But what I see in myself is that deep thinking quenches God's spirit - unless we are talking about meditating on God's word which is entirely different. So I try as much as possible to make sure that if I am in deep thinking it is focused on God's word, althought doing that consistently or most of the time is a work in progress.

Romans 8:6 (KJV)

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace .

This is a powerful statement. Being carnally minded doesn't just tend towards death, it is death. Likewise, being spiritually minded doesn't just tend towards life, it is life and peace. A person who says he is spiritually minded and yet is experiencing death (see note 14 at this verse, above) is deceived. If we would just dominate ourselves with the spiritual truths of God's Word, we would receive only life and peace.AWLC

I don't believe that deep thinking quenches God's spirit. I tend to be much closer to God when I am contemplating the vastness of the heavens and wonder that is this earth. God gave us brains for a reason. He wants us to ask questions and explore the possibilities because for me, it all leads back to Him eventually.

But as for why men tend to shy away from talking about their feelings.... ask God why He made us that way, lol. I think it does have to do with being vulnerable, or maybe the fear of being laughed at or chastised. Being made fun of. Or it could just be plain old pride getting in the way.

In my own experience, there have been many times when I've wanted to talk to a woman to try and resolve issues, but she is too mad or upset to want to talk about feelings at that particular moment. I have many married friends who deal with that as well. So it goes both ways sometimes.
