Okay, guys...

I just want to know if men are put off or intimidated by a strong, confident, independent (though very dependent on God) kind of woman.

I believe God's Word that the wife should submit to her husband and that he should be the head of the household. However, I've never been married, so having been a single mom for the past __years ( :>), I've become quite strong and "independent" and had to be the earthly head of my house (even though God has been the true head of my household).

Some people have told me that my strength and confidence can be intimidating to some men. What do you say?

Great post!. Feminism has done a lot of damage to the biblical roles of manhood and womanhood, society's lost this basic foundation.

I'm 30 now never married (yet.....)! Have had to be independent, deal with problems etc which is part of growing up for all of us. our dependence is on God for our very life.

Your are very right about some women saying that they don't need a man. In truth God made us to need each other!. And honestly it is really nice to have a trusted guy brother to go to for advice and help on things i'm not great at. I think sometimes as women we are weaker (in some not all cases) in being more easily deceived than men are. See adam and eve in genesis.

We complement each other! This can be a source of conflict at times!!!!! :) but also opportunity for a great beauty! As we reflect Christ's marriage with his bride.

Women need men and men need us too. THere is nothing shameful or wrong about that, that is how God created us. OUr society and sadly even our churches are doing great damage to the roles of man/women as God created us to have.

ALso we as christian women sometimes need to step back and let men be the men that God would have them Be. Ie especially with leadership roles in the church and being head of home. We acknowledge this but there is often great confusion about what this means.

Women have a tendency to bash and emasculate men sometimes when they get together ie how their husbands never do this.... he is such a ...... etc and on and on.

As christian women instead of focusing on how 'THEY" don't seem to "get it" or why "they' don't serve us. We should focus on our responsilbity that God calls us too. We should be doing what we can to support and encourage our brothers!!!.
