So my question is this: will you love your wife as Christ loves the church, will you give yourself for her? Will you be the spiritual leader in your home? That's what i love about God, he gives us healing from the past and shows mercy to us; enough to give us the chance to get it right the next time. The standard is in His word. The foundation is solid (in Christ). God doesn't want us picking off the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil so it's written in the Bible about the way a marriage/relationship can be with the love of God in us. Best Wishes! We so easily say, oh yes I will love my husband or wife as God would have me to but we are flesh and when the new wears off and we see them for who they really are, flesh and blood just like us, that's the time God will probably say... uh, I seem to remember you saying so easily that would love your mate like I love you. God has a funny way of doing that. Post Reply
