After I turned 30, kids were the only reason I even considered getting married. The original intent of marriage was to legitimize children. What other reason is there to get married, truthfully? My mother taught me well, so I dont need a woman to cook or clean. (I do that better than 99% of women). Companionship? Seriously? Intimacy? Ive waited 46 years. Whats another 46? And if someone is being intimate outside of marriage, why would anyone want them? Post Reply

And if your reasoning is true than what about all men and women that are sterile? Children are out of the question them. And for some people having children are not an important part of a relationship. They just want to share their lives with someone and don't want to go through this life all alone. Post Reply

Generally, people who "just want to share their lives with someone" are people who are afraid to be alone. Im not one of these desperate people who will marry anyone who comes along. I have no fear of being alone. As far as bring children into this evil world...well, the world has always been evil. If everyone thought the way you do, humanity would have died out thousands of years ago. I hope you find some weak willed man that you can order to not impregnate you. Later, they became shorter in length and in the late middle ages, the patterns began to denote to which family (clan) they belonged. @Spooky I just thought it funny that the Bible says that women are to be subordinate to their husbands. Yet, youve decided unilaterally that you and your husband arent going to have children. You stated that youve already tossed one boyfriend because of it. Basically, youre telling men to obey you or "hit the bricks". Good luck with that. If you find such a man, it may be a good thing that he does spread his genes onto another generation. Post Reply

Its no wonder he is yet married at his age. I pray he examines himself to make sure he is in Gods will with his tongue... Post Reply
