So I wounder how one pastor, teacher or lay person dismiss the specific command Paul goes out of his way to tell the reader that the Lord commands from the reader this?

For wives to not depart and if so remain unmarried and for husbands to not put away his wife.

If you did not know this now you do. So now what?

Is Jesus Lord of your life?

I just want you dear children of God know this. My purpose is not to create guilt.

My purpose is to possibly encourage a dear Son or Daughter of God from making a life changing mistake that can be avoided through faith.

Those who have made the choice already can go back or you can not.

Some one has to stand for marriage in the christian community. Since the leadership of the local churchs are failing to do so God has called me to stand up.

So Sandman, you're basically saying it's okay to go against the commandments of God just because of societal and environmental change? That is ludicrous. If society condoned murder, would that be okay? Rubbish... Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to do away with it. God who is good and just all the time is the same yesterday, today and forevermore, and he will not go back on His holy and righteous commandments. When Jesus saw the temple of His Father being turned into a 'den of robbers' He did not say: "hey guys this is alright, it's all up to date with today's societal relevance and norms...", He went angry with righteous anger and drove the all out.

I wounder if people realise that dissobedience to Gods commands equates to rejection of God.

Their is this phrase. Why would a loving God send people to hell?

Well He doesnt people reject God and the place prepared for them is out side of His presence where they will be tormented forever by their ever increasing hatred of God causing them to burn without being consumed. Forever growing regret that will forever eat at them like a worm. Forever growing depression that will be and endless pit of dispair.

This comes from rejection of God who loves His creation so much that He sacrificed all.

Walking in your own justification is rejection of God, plain and simple.

But you have time to repent and know God and follow His righteous ways in obedience and spare your soul from eternal suffering.

Hi XpSPQRpX

It really was not, and is not, a commandment of God, as it was just a low shot at the Ladies on an Internet dating website - pretending to be a Christian commandment.

Jesus did not come to put people into bondage, and certainly NOT to put the Ladies into the bondage of cruel Men.

And if anyone sees my religion as less than theirs - then yes I will embrace a divorced Lady who departed and did not remain "unmarried" as my faith can live with that just fine.

I am NOT one of those "without sin" so I do not cast stones at anyone.

James
