Titus 2:3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good,

Titus 2:4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children,

Titus 2:5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

Pro 31:1 The words of King Lemuel. An oracle that his mother taught him:

Pro 31:2 What are you doing, my son? What are you doing, son of my womb? What are you doing, son of my vows?

Pro 31:3 Do not give your strength to women, your ways to those who destroy kings.

Pro 31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, or for rulers to take strong drink,

Pro 31:5 lest they drink and forget what has been decreed and pervert the rights of all the afflicted.

Pro 31:6 Give strong drink to the one who is perishing, and wine to those in bitter distress;

Pro 31:7 let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more.

Pro 31:8 Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute.

Pro 31:9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Pro 31:10 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.

Pro 31:11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain.

Pro 31:12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.

Pro 31:13 She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands.

Pro 31:14 She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar.

Pro 31:15 She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens.

Pro 31:16 She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.

Pro 31:17 She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.

Pro 31:18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night.

Pro 31:19 She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.

Pro 31:20 She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.

Pro 31:21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet.

Pro 31:22 She makes bed coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple.

Pro 31:23 Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land.

Pro 31:24 She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchant.

Pro 31:25 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.

Pro 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

Pro 31:27 She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Pro 31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

Pro 31:29 "Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all."

Pro 31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Pro 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

my right as a woman, clearly stated in the scripture...

do these verses mean i would not stood up for what is right and not speak my mind?

Those are characteristics of a Godly woman. Some of them have changed over the centuries, others are just as desirable now, but as written, if they are considered rights then they are rights of the husband and what he should expect of his wife.

I see this as another example of why Proverbs 31 is NOT to be used as a weapon against women.

Proverbs 31 in verse 1, tells that it is written by the King's mother for her daughter-in-law which makes mommy King into the mother-in-law from hell.

Jesus took away the old yokes of bondage including this given in Proverbs 31, and Jesus does not ask any woman to comply with the demands of King Lemuel's mother.

FYI.

What kingdom are you living in and what rights are you standing for?

In society yes their are inequeties that women should stand up for. My feincee was told that her company was transfering many people and I supported her in telling them NO she will not be transfered.

I am also willing to support her financially that she gains sesurity and strength to make such a stand. Guess what she still has a job and was not transfered.

Now in marriage it is totally different. Husbands and wives are called to give up power in preference to oneanother.

2Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. 3Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.

4The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

What do you do with this in a feminist movement?

The feminist movement fights for power but the Kingdom of God is the opposite of this, right? Did not Christ empty Himself and give up all power?

Letthismind2, clearly you do not understand the feminist movement, nor do you understand the mind of a feminist Christian. It's NOT about control and power, it's about equality and NOT being a doormat to men in the larger society. There are plenty of Christian feminists, although some are afraid of using the word feminist because of men like you.

Feminism is NOT about having power and control over others. It is about being seen as an equal and important part of society, just like men.

Stop spewing venom about a topic you clearly don't understand.

If you want to fight for the rights of someone how about fighting for the rights of unborn children to not be bruitally killed in their mothers womb? How about fighting for the rights of children to have intact families?

If women would stand along side a man rather trying to fight against men things in life would have a greater sense of harmony.

If men would lead and protect women then women wouldnt feel the need to stand up for their sevles.

It is not rocket science.

Both men and women are guilty for forsaking our God given roles. We should be fighting to fulfill our God given roles to first protect the innocent ( children) protect the weaker and serve God in the process.

What rights are Christian women fighting? I truly do not understand what you are asking.

Do you mean equal pay for equal work? Do you mean to have the "job" of wife and mother be elevated to the important status it deserves? Do you mean to have the right NOT to be abused by your husband?

Please clarify and I would be happy to respond, with Christian love and a feminist mind!
