Men, what are we going to do?
Posted : 12 Jul, 2012 09:37 AM

I am addressing us men specifically. I just had a revelation about how we are responsible for the state of relationships and the level of divorce in the church.

You who is reading this. What are you going to do?

I would ask you to stop what you are doing right now in persuing any relationship and become not just familiar but intimatly aquainted with all scripture pertaining Divorce and remarriage.

Stop what your doing and learn what Jesus says and why. learn what Paul writes and why.

We men need to turn this around and it starts here at the front line of the battle. The enemy has waged war against the family and who will stand with me?

It seems like three stikes and we're out?

And here I was thinking I was being helpful.

LTM, clear communication is important when wearing the hat of a prophet.

I interpreted what you said to mean that you were waiting for a woman to step up and speak the truth to men. I got that from ...

"You ladies can chime in on what we (men) need to repent of. I know I missed some. Please tell us what they are."

And then

"Yes, I know the women here are not dong their part also but it is a womans responsibility to be the mouth piece to them."

The "them" here sounds to me like you were again talking about being a mouth piece to men! I did not at all, under the banner "Men, what are we going to do?" consider that you had switched topics to mean "Aren't there any women prophets in the house to point out all the women's short comings". We have 'em, and that would make a good new post title. But you switched gears without being clear about that.

Please be careful not to let your passion get in the way of the heart of Christ, my brother. The greatest job of a prophet is to communicate so that the word is understood in order for the body of Christ to fully benefit. If Moses had come down the mountain speaking Danish, that would not have helped the Isrealites, even though he was speaking the exact truth quoted from Almighty God.

Oui?

Let,

Sorry, but have to beg to differ with you on the movie issue. I'm not offended, but I have to say it has taken the ministry of drama forever to be recognized as a viable tool of God. Some people won't go to church, but they will see a Christian Play or watch a Christian movie, or a Christian themed movie forthat matter. Fireproof is a movie produced by Christian Ministry, and it is not just a movie. These tools/ministry do the same as ministers, they teach, the 'speak' the workd and thru them God, opens eyss, opens ears, saves souls. You're gifted with prophecy, thats a wonderful thing my brother, some of us our gited by God with tools used in drama ministy as well as dance, drawing, etc. for His purpose.

TnB,

I am sorry I did invite you Ladies into the conversation and it is important that you are part of the conversation this is what relationship is all about. So we learn from eachother.

What I was simply trying to say is that I would like to see a woman look to scripture concerning (all ) passages pertaining to marriage and divorce and remarriage not just the ones that make us feel good or support our wants and desires. A woman who will speak up for truth on these issues to other women.

So I am going to put out a scripture that came directly from Jesus mouth. It took me many years to understand the dynamic of these but I would like to hear what others think and are convicted by them.

32But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.

Matthew 5:32

18Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery.

Luke 16:18

Where are we in these? Who are we in these?

:applause:

Christian Movies are a blessing that draw some people to Jesus. People sometimes do not study the Bible until after they have excepted Christ. There are many venues Jesus uses to draw people to him. He touches their heart through ministries of all kinds.

So the question is this.

Why are we adulter's when we marry a divorced person?

As Jesus so plainly states.

Another question is why are we adulter's if we allow another person to marry us as divorced people?

Jesus words not mine, remember.

So the question is this are we going to get in the way of anothers marriage for repentence by the husband or the wife?

Are we going to allow someone a man or a woman to get in the way of OUR spouse repenting? Is really the question that hits home for me.

Anyone else with me?

Let this mind,

The movie Fireproof is full of Wisdom that is expressed in the Proverbs about how to deal with anger and their are many scriptures based in the book the Love Dare that is the healing balm for many real marriages that came from that movie portrayal. God was all over that movie, just like courageous, it was prayed for often trusting God that people would learn not only the marriage value but also the Gospel.

I had this same argument about the book Heaven is for Real on this site...IT is my belief that you can find the wisdom of God and His WOrd in movies and books and shows and poems, Wisdom is like precious rubies and can be found all over but true Wisdom comes from God and you can see it outside the Bible but it is not true wisdom if it is not supported in some way by the Bible.

Fireproof is not God's Word but scripture is used in the movie in several places. The messages are wisdom of God because they are messages that He supports and tells us about in His WOrd. Love, Kindness, turning the other cheek, Grace, forgiveness, perseverance, Prayer, Faith, The Gospel of CHrist on the CRoss...

This was all in Fireproof, messages of the Lord from Actors and Screenwriters committed to serving Jesus, helping the Lost and hurting.
