Admin	How should you tell someone. Posted : 28 Feb, 2009 08:48 AM That you do not want to know their sins? ( I am not) catholic and I am not Jesus. I just want to know how I get in relationships that think I need their confessions of there sins? After they do this they put the blame on me because it puts distrust in trying to know who they are now and now I have to believe I knew them before I met them. jk I DONT CARE WHO THEY WERE....JUST WHO YOU ARE OR WANTING TO BE... Am I wrong I cant help it I just cant do this for them. I have my own ideas of helping making someone happy not miserable in the past. I dont want a pieace of that bread. How do you tell them? I think I should just RUN.....I would like some other kind of conversations other than who someone was EXCEPT what you did as a child that is ok with me I like stories like that but keep the sin out you know what I mean? right? Posted : 2 Mar, 2009 11:03 AM mlthomas ask for your grace because I notice I was the only one responded to your post READ ME PLEASE That is fine I am just not responding to any of this post I asked due to the fact that it is just a question of why I seem like the type of person to be a friend to be acquainted with some ones past that I am not qualified to help them with but, I do understand that this is in my past too and I am willing to not repeat the same errors of how I should handle it and it is to tell them to go to Christ and then if there is any feelings of me needing to know (which) if any rumors was to come around me about there past (which) I usually dont pay any attention to any ways because of how things are understood with each party I just want to know how I should tell someone that I am not (wanting to) hear the things that I cant undo or change in order for them to understand that I am confessing I cant handle it sometimes. (I really think that there is no real true answer but to keep my wits about me and dont run(jk) but to encourage them and go on and above all DO NOT proceed with it any futher. Shake the dust off my feet then Run. jk Have a good day and I am ok with it I just dont like how it feels sometimes to be put in a place where I feel like I have to be the Strong one all the time. Posted : 6 Mar, 2009 12:40 PM I agree with Brother Leon and Thomas, I do believe that during the course of dating, especially if one is entering a courtship, there comes a time when the "air" must be cleared. This means that at some point in time, a person's past can be relevant to their current relationship with you. Even though past sins are past it is good to know where the other person is coming from. Look at it this way. You don't want to get married and then later discover and say.. "Hey I didn't know you use to be a "Chip and Dale" dancer". LOL Here is a really good reason to know someone's past. This will tell you the kind of person he or she is. If you confess to the person you are dating that you had hurt some people in your past and had done some pretty bad things but the person you are dating cannot forgive you for those things, then you need to run from that person, beat them off of you like a dirty shirt, because if they cannot forgive you for something you did to someone else in your past [which God has already done] then that person has an unforgiving spirit and they will not forgive you when you hurt them in the future. We will all hurt someone down the road in any relationship. Unforgiveness is a cancer and you do not want anything to do with that person. Let's get more frank. Guys...would you want to know if the woman you are dating use to be a Porn queen before she was saved or would you prefer not knowing? What about a former drug user? Would it matter to you?
