Ive been contacted by more than 100 women from western Europe and Asia. Its just my personal opinion, but it seems American women, even Christian ones, are looking for "pretty boys" with fat wallets. At our age, it's easy to really want to 'make things happen', but trust God. The way I see it, is I'm open to wherever God wants, so I've done my bit by putting a profile up, and He can use it if He chooses. It was a follow up to my other post about following God's lead, even if the Christian has to go a long way to find the one He intends for you. As for why I adressed you, because you were the one who made going to Sacremento seem as if was the same as travelling to Antarctica by canoe...or maybe that was just the impression I received. Posted : 5 Feb, 2012 11:45 AM I understand what you mean.I have had the same situation.My first adventure was a paid site,Christian Mingle.I had the same response there that I have had so far here.I was there for 3 months and let my subscription expire the end of January.I never expected to meet my "soul mate" but had hoped to at least make some friends since I am new in my area.I did get to know a couple of the ladies that I consider friends and now keep in contact with via Facebook but the closest one is 4 hours away.It's hard to not let it get you down.I started feeling like "what is wrong with me?".But the Lord has really helped me to realize that my worth and value do not come from an online dating site and whether or not some stranger finds me attractive.I have taken a stand for the Lord and I am not willing to settle for less than I know He has for me.God is preparing both of us right now.I just wish this guy,whoever and wherever he is would just hurry up and surrender to the Lord because I am tired of waiting in him,lol.Just keep your eyes on the Lord sister.Rest in Him and He will do for you what no man can do. Your opening statement is "I am a very positive, energetic, woman seeking new friends." Guy's take the "new friends" part as meaning "I don't want a relationship but I do want to email/IM?text you a hundred times with no commitment. So dump that line. MOST IMPORTANT....Drop any of the negatives from your profile. Don't tell us what you "don't do"...tell us what you do and why you do it. You don't come off as very unpositive which is the exact opposite of your opening line. I mean there are thousand of things I don't do like bull fighting, playing arena football, jello wrestling....the list goes on. Stay positive and show passion. :) Love is out there.
