Most of you are likely/hopefully aware that a married man is to be the head of his household. How do you think that looks, practically speaking? What does a head of household do that differentiates his role from that of his wife or children?

The man is not the head of his household, the woman is. However he is to be head of his wife and children. ....IMHO

Practically speaking, two people who are married would have to work out who does what.

I can't say what my household would look like until I've got someone besides me in it. It probably would not be an autocracy with me as the dictator, though.

If every decision made in a group of people (whether 2 or 3 or more) was debated and then voted on and finally after much consideration was adoptedyou would have a wonderful Democratic Group but a Lumbering, Slow, Defenseless Creature!

Leaders are necessary so that groups can have decisions made quickly when needed and a Direction and Purpose be MAINTAIN without constantly being changed.

One of the first things I taught my son was a game we played called FREEZE! Whenever I would yell FREEZE!, he would have to stop completelyno movementnot one step further! If he did this I would reward him with a quarter or such (whatever change I had in my pocket). The purpose of this game is obvious. I wanted him to learn to FirstObey me and Secondly to do so immediately and without Questioning. Something that might Save his Life one day.

A Family needs a Head to Lead. A Family needs Shoulders to hold up the Burdens of that Family. Strong Arms to Protect and Defend.

This is what differentiates the Husbands Duties from the Wifes.

In no way does this diminish the Wifes Role. On the Contrarywhile he may be the Headshe is The HEART! She is the Riverbed that keeps that Family going straight and True. She wears many hats and is the Driving Force behind her husband and the reason for EVERYTHING!

Ask any Successful Man and he will tell you that without the Support and Love of his Wife hed be Nowhere.

Ive forgotten what this post was about! I hope I didnt stray too far.
