I've learned alot about horses from Two and yesterday, while checking out a profile, a certain girl said she is an Empath. I had never heard the word before. Anyone know what an Empath is?

Someone displaying empathy, maybe?

I think they're saying that they can put themselves in other peiople's shoes and feel their emotions, and project their own emotions on other people.

Good with a possibly dark underbelly.

Maybe she is being more literally, maybe she can actually read people's emotions! Maybe if she works to improve her mental powers, she can become telepathic and actually read people's thoughts instead of just their emotions!

It would be funny to see a guy go on a date with a girl who is telepathic . . . he would not be able to get away with anything!

Iao, is right, that's basically what an empath is, able to read other people's emotions and sometimes manipulate them. Very Science Fiction/ Fantasy type of ideas.

"I heard demons can sometimes do that. Probably not good, eh?"

Several times, I've read that our Lord Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, did that as well.

1. The woman at the well,

2. the pharisees when the paralyzed man was lowered through the roof.

3. When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.

I have seen over and over, that there are always two kinds of wonders or miracles or supernatural things.

A genuine work of God, and an occult counterfeit from Satan.

Can Satan copycat and counterfeit a miracle?

Lets look at the bible for the answer to that. I will provide 3 witnesses, to establish the matter.

2Th 2:9 For at the coming of the Lord there will be great activity on the part of Satan, in the form of all kinds of Lying miracles, signs, and marvels.

Acts 16:16-18 A slave girl had a demonic spirit by which she was a fortune teller. She kept following Paul and other Christians around, and blowing their cover, until finally Paul cast out the spirit and caused a lawsuit against himself.

Exodus 7:6-13

Moses had to fight against the court magicians of Pharaoh who could do some of the same signs (wooden staffs into serpents), but eventually Moses, with the leadership of God, trumped them all.

The power of God has a different air to it than the power of the enemy. The Holy Spirit let's us know good from evil, helps us discern lying wonders from miracles. When something is of the Lord you can just tell.

If a psychic hears from evil spirits, is that a miracle? No.

When evil spirits appear in the form of "ghosts" in the image of a dead loved one, is that a miracle? No.

The devil deceives us into perceiving things are of the Lord, when they are not, the Bible says he transforms himself into an angel of light, making evil appear good, and good appear to be evil.

On CDFF, I've learned:

1) If he sounds like a scammer, he probably is one.

2) Dennis likes to tease us women.

3) I can't let those rare rude forum people ruin my day.

4) The numerous awesome forum people can sure brighten up my day!

5) Smileys are fun. :goofball: :applause:  :nahnah: :excited:

6) If I can't think of something good, uplifting, helpful, or educational to say, I probably shouldn't comment on the topic.

7) CDFF is really addictive. I spend way too much time on here, but I don't care.

8) Avoid the "Biblical Questions and Discussion" forum at all costs!

9) Don't mess with Two

10) I think I "know" people on here better than I know some of the people I see on a daily basis.

11) Some people come and go frequently...if they go, they will probably come back again eventually.

12) The "block user" feature comes in handy on occasion.

13) There is a severe shortage of guys my age in my general location, but there are plenty of grandfatherly men (or young men who live hundreds of miles away) who would love to marry me.

14) The people on here range from wacky to wise.

15) There's nothing quite like being denied chocolate to make me start craving it!!!
