What's your favorite relationship in the bible?

Doesn't have to be a man-woman relationship or anything.

Jesus and the disciples? Mary and Joseph? Isaac and Rebekah? Elijah and Elisha?

I have too many to name, but I'll just choose....

Jonathan and David.

I feel like Jonathan was just....so humble and loving. I'm so impressed with him. Jonathan and David's friendship was golden!

God and Abraham : Friends

Jesus and John : The disciple Jesus loved

Btw, it irks me than John is portrayed by many as a feminine man just cause he wrote the 'Love Gospel' when the Bible portrays him as a "Son of Thunder"

*snarling*

John was too wild to be a "feminine man". Plus, his meat was locusts and wild honey. So not feminine.

Yeah, caught it right off, but thought I would be a gentleman, especially since saved knows her stuff!

Twosparrows, have you ever read the book "No More Christian Nice Guy"? It is a wonderful book that every christian man should read. Many in the church nowdays try to tell us that a good christian man is spineless; when if you read the bible that is far from the truth. Jesus himself when dealing with the pharisees and tax collectors spoke out viciously against what they were doing. He (Jesus) even turned over the tables of the money changers and called them theives. I am not saying that as christian men we should seek out conflict, but when it comes to the things of the Lord we should stand firm!!!!

Maybe this won't count....but mine would have to be the Apostle Paul, and the very real relationship he had with Christ.

Thanks Goodguy,

I'll check that book out, I can probably use it. It seems in our political correct feminized society I am always looking for a balance without getting pushed back anymore with passive aggressive techniques.
