Au Naturale?

The last guy I was seriously dating didn't say anything until about 5 months in. He had come to pick me up to go out and I was in the bathroom getting ready to put on eyeshadow and he said, "I wish you wouldn't".

"Huh"? I says. He said he loved my face without make-up, that it to him it was a declaration of not being happy with ones appearance to change it and was very fake and misleading. I was like, "Well, dang!"

While I was out yesterday, I heard a random conversation by strangers where a guy said something similar and it reminded me of that time. It made me want to take a poll and see if the CDFF guys had like-minded thoughts. Any of you feel the opposite way? Doesn't matter?

A girl is prettier to me if she wears no make-up. I wouldn't complain to her about it if she wanted to wear it-- that's up to her. I am just far more attracted to someone who is natural. I don't see a need to try to look like someone you aren't. Girls, women, seem to think it makes them look better. I never understood that. I prefer no make-up on a girl--- but the choice is hers.

Thanks Chevy.

What is such a trip is that I hear a lot of guys say that, but the multi-billion dollar make-up industry is founded on becoming more attractive to the opposite sex. Actually, it would be really hilarious if it wasn't so expensive!

' My 3 Makeup Tips '

1) Less is More

2) Moderation in all things

3) Enhance instead of Creating

How much is to much?......

*When makeup is noticed before the face, there is to much of it.

*When makeup draws attention to itself it defeats the purpose.

*For makeup to enhance it should be almost imperceptible.

HEY!! 1 Baby girl,Happy new year & it's good to see you again in the forums!:glow::applause:Anyway,i agree with Chevy.Young girls & women think that most guys (Christian or not) love women with false hair & a lot of make up,but it's not so.In fact, most guys that i have talk to personally about it for years, had even joked about it & even insults women(in a rude way in the conversation) that likes to do things like that.To me,though,i do love to see women with natural hair, finger nails,no make up & modest dressing, are more attractive (no offence to you 1 Baby Girl & all women who like wearing things like that, but you wanted to hear me as a guy opinion on it).But my thing is this though: If i meet a woman who likes to do things like that,i might still give her a chance, even though i do'nt like it,but sometime later on,i'll talk to her & let her know, since it'l be the honest thing to do.

The general rule is you shouldnt be able to tell that you are wearing makeup. Its a lot like special effects in a movie, you dont want people to notice that its a special effect.

I prefer that women wear little to no makeup, it doesnt matter how plain they are. If she does wear makeup, less is more.

There are, of course, those that have special needs and wearing makeup will draw less attention and not more. It really depends on the person.

I prefer natural vs. makeup, but it's not a big deal unless someone is over-doing it. I'd rather not be able to easily see that a girl is wearing makeup. Some guys do seem to like "done up" over "natural" though. I know girls like to mess around with makeup for fun and with the way makeup is marketed, some women probably think that it's necessary to be attractive, so I try not to assume the motives behind makeup...but when I see a girl with lots of makeup on, my first thought is "insecure and/or vain show off".

Thanks Mr Wise and Cobbler. Happy Nw Year to you too MW! No offense taken, I happen to agree with Yall.

I have very full lips and when I wear color on them I leave my eyes nude cause having eyes and llips made up makes me feel like Cookie. Bozo for those too young to know. Vice versa when my eyes are made up I go pale or glossed lips.

Man, if women knew this we would put Cover Girl and nem out of business.

Like Two said, enhance, don't create. Properly done, a little bit of makeup can make a girl's features "pop", so I can see the benefits of tasteful application, but I really don't like the caked-on look.

babygirl, u are very pretty, classic African features.

Tulip and Twospparows got it right. Most women need a little makeup, and it should be so sparingly/skillfully applyed that a man wouldn't be able to tell.

However, it takes practice to be able to apply makeup like this, and sadly many ladies don't leave their practice at home!
