Who was the most famous person you have ever met?Posted : 13 Dec, 2010 03:57 AMFor me it was George Bush, Sr. It was many years ago when he just finished his term and was settling down in Houston. It was a Memorial Park, a park where everyone runs. I was at the stretching area when everyone looks up and he jogged by. I started running and caught up with him, saying hello and gave him a compliment on how he handled the Desert Storm operation and welcomed him to Houston. He said thanks. I didn't want to look like a stalker so I ran on ahead. There was a secret service agent running a few feet behind him. |

Who was the most famous person you have ever met?Posted : 13 Dec, 2010 08:03 AMI was once met Joe Nuxell...he pitched for the Cincinatti Reds. I am a Cubs fan and went to a Reds/Cubs game in Cincinatti and he was there signing copies of his book. I stood in line to get a his autograph for my brother-in-law on behalf of my sister for a Christmas present. I guess he was really young when he started playing and play during WWII I think...I took some heat for being a Cubs fan getting a Reds' players autograph but when I walked up to him he looked up at me and said, "Hey Cubbie". Pretty cool!! He has now passed away...only met him in that moment but definitely a cool guy! |

Who was the most famous person you have ever met?Posted : 13 Dec, 2010 08:21 AMI've met Roy Rogers Jr. (Dusty) in person at the Roy Rogers museum in Branson, MO. He's very nice and down-to-earth. There is actually a pretty neat story that I could tell about that meeting, but it's rather long. |
