I find in my line of work that well meaning, good living, confident and productive people are brought to their knees by banks. I guess I'd have to fix greed while I am at it. I find that many people today are not in bad debt situations because of something they did or didn't do but rather because of something that happened to them and quite often it is because of the business practices of banks and lenders. I do have a checking account and a debit card but that is as far as my relationship with a bank will go and it is only for the sake of convenience. I will never have a credit card, finance a car or mortgage a house again in my life. I will not be a slave to a lender again. Thunder Post Reply

The eternal is far more important than the present. But if you are talking about issues concerning this present world, I think the two things that immediately come to mind is cancer and world hunger. I have seen cancer take so many good people - good friends and people in their families, and people in my own family. Sometimes the suffer for a long time and sometimes it happens so quickly. It just keeps coming up unexpectedly and too many times, and no one has a cure yet. Also for some reason I really feel for those who are suffering from proverty. I see children across the world who are starving and I just want to help meet these physical needs. I give, but of course it won't solve the problem. I'm sure there are so many other things to fix but these are just two that hit me. Post Reply

View Profile History	something to fix Posted : 5 Dec, 2010 05:50 PM I would try to fix the global warming thing, it affects so much of our lives... even in Africa they are affected by it. and what i don't understand about our help over there is how come they haven't figured out what we would consider "green" farming.. Even just helping teach them how to farm in their back yards some thing sustainable... I saw a commercial where they were teaching kids how to use computers and stuff like that, what about teaching them how to raise animals... in high school i had a required class of agricultural science, but to teach them poor kids computers?? teach them how to take care of each other, teach the gospel instead of hatred that is so very real in their lives... For 48 hrs EVERYONE in the whole world would have ALL the money they Think they Needed!!!!!!!! What they did with it would be up to them!!!(and wouldn't this make a good reality show!) Actually, I get depressed that I don't have the money to treat kids and Grandson like I'd like, exspecially at this time of year! Post Reply
