Posted : 25 Nov, 2010 04:51 PM I was earlier was going to ask sometime this month a thread called "Why no godbyes?"about people who've left the forums & C.D.F.F. But in someway,i thank God I did't do that seeing some who peoples (i guess & see) reasons for leaving or being removed here!! To me,theses forums are not only for people to see each other differences & character,but for people who are new users & guest as well who want to be sure on being here on C.D.F.F .We SHOUD NOT MAKE PEOPLE HERE FEEL like they're judged & insulted with our comments or use thses forums as a member here had done PUT ALL YOUR PERSONAL FEELINGS & THOUGHTS HERE FOR TO SEE. REMEMBER THIS:THIS IS A CHRISTIAN SITE,NOT ONE WITH VUGARITY & NO INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR & COMMENTS SHOULD'NT BE ALLOWED HERE!!!!NEVER EVER EVER!!!!!!!WE ALL SHOULD BE AN EXAMPLE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE-NOT TO BE A LAUGHING STOCK TO THEM IF THEY READ OUR COMMENTS HERE IN THE FORUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! THat's just my concern on seeing what's going on in the forums. I Still hope that you all will enjoy the rest of Thanksgiving!! YOU do'nt have to reply,really,but you're welcomed to do so. Posted : 26 Nov, 2010 10:03 AM To:loonyk,i have based this thread on something that happened yesterday in the "ask ta girl" section.In my book,that should've been done diferently.Also i have seen some people who have had a little diagreement have ended up in these forums for all to see as well.For the last few weeks,i have noticed some people who have deleted their profile here possibly as two have put it they felt they were being "judged" even though we just give an honest opinions that they wanted to be answered.I'm not leaving out myself of course,i've now realized that i too must be careful about what i write in the forums as well,& also,i did'nt really wanted to bring back all of that again.I know,yes there is'nt nothing that's too serious or vugar as i've put it above,but i was really showing the difference the secular & this as a Christian site.Again i just written all of this as a concern about what is going on here & also it's so hard for me to see so many beautiful,wonderful people of God who have left here in less than a month.(sniff,sniff,tears running down) Post Reply

Contact the person in private expressing your concerns or grievances in a loving way. If they are Christians , they will understand. As you know and I admit, I have been known to push the envelope at times. There are some who think I cross the line and express their grievances in the form of a passive attack on me....that's ok ....they are not perfect and neither am I. What does get me :excited: hypothetically is when someone who I had been talking to privately does not express their grievances to me personally but instead decideds to post them on the form. That's the kind of stuff that is not bibical. Post Reply

They ask advice or go and post there experiences on a public place that any one can view. If you don't like it when people disagree or have different opinions then stop asking for advice. You can not expect that every one will agree or like you. If you get your self esteem and self worth based on what other people think then you don't really have much. Quite frankly, there is no vetting of who can join the site, so there's no guarantee that the people who are on here ARE Christians. Either the forums are flooded with people who were just saved (doubtful), or they are dominated by a mix of people who just aren't growing in their faith and people who were never saved to begin with. We dont know the people who post here...and more importantly, we dont know where they are in their walk with God. We're human, we're gonna rub each other the wrong way at times. We need to be careful not to attack each other and judge and also remember that we are all different denominations as well and that could be the reason we disagree on spiritual things...all in all, we are all serving the same God and He is LOVE. To be upset because things have happened on the forums, well...it's expected. We should be watching out for each other so others cannot come in and cause chaos like what just happened with one of the girls on the forums..it was so strange, I thought it was a joke at first. I turned that guy in and wrote a letter to the admin. Post Reply

Posted : 26 Nov, 2010 11:23 PM There are a lot of sensitive people on these forums, but these are public forums and all participants need to keep that in mind when posting. If you are going to ask for advice, be prepared to hear it. The real problem on the forums is inside all of us: our egos, our insatiable desires to defend ourselves even when all signs point to �it�s your problem, not theirs�. Our egos make us treat people differently than how we want people to treat us, our egos make us overreact to disagreements, our egos makes us point fingers at each other and call each other heretics, cult members, etc (those these are less common on the more social forums like Ask a Guy/Girl). I can edit and re-edit every post I make, but I cannot prevent somebody from taking it the wrong way or seeing that I disagree with them and turn it into a personal assault. As for being a � stock�, it is hard to prevent absolutely everybody from at you. You can be speaking beautiful truth and somebody on the outside might think it�s hilarious because you believe in God, it is all relevant to the reader, so to worry about this is a waste of time. All we really need to be doing is to look at everything we write and read on the forums through the reader/writer�s eyes, or at least attempt to. Yeah, there have been many times where I have been so frustrated with members on the forum that I had to �throw in the towel� on discussions, not because I felt they were right, but because I could tell by their words that they were not being open to me the way I was being open to them. I have probably been on the other end of that scenario�. I guess the point I�m trying to make is that we are all just not being very �Christian� here on CDFF at all times, or at least treating �the Golden rule� like a footnote. Post Reply

Assumptions that run in my head is this guy has been here before causing problems with a certain person. Basically someone can just always make a new profile, so this type of stuff is hard to stop even when their profile is banned. Post Reply
