Hmmm?� In all seriousness Chuck, you seem to have a very narrow and biased and quite Stereotyped view of the world. I know some Homosexuals that are Wonderful people and actually I would venture to say that they are not much different then us. They are giving and docile and some are believers. We need to Pray for them�not condemn them. It�s the same for Latinos and people of color and for short people and for overweight people and for people that can�t understand words with more then two syllables or people that are very narrow and biased and quite Stereotyped. I have to wonder what your thoughts are about these people? Perhaps we would be appalled if you spoke your mind about them? Then again maybe it�s what peudoCowboys do and say? Is it? Freud would say that there is a reason why you seem to bring this subject up in front of a group of people. He would conjecture that you harbor deep tendencies to be exactly that which you denigrate. That you resent your feeling that way because your father would be �very unhappy with you if you were that way�. What would you say or feel if I were to say that I felt very �redneck� this morning because I dribbled chewing tobacco on my t-shirt while burning a bagel on the Jewish family�s lawn? Stereotyping is wrong and it leads to HARM. I believe that Jesus wants us to think before we speak because words can do so much Harm. Even now as I write this I am thinking about how it might hurt your feelings. Chuck, I doubt that this will change your ways�my hope is that it will diminish it for awhile. You read the word "gay" and automatically assumed it can only have one meaning (yours) based on your pre-judging of cowboys. This type of behaviour qualifies you as ...what we're your words?..."narrow, bias and stereotyped"....LOL! If you had even bothered to read the post and 'try' understand from 'another' perspective perhaps you could 'see' that the word "gay" can also mean; happy, joyous and in the context of the post "fascinating". Btw: this is off topic but since you brought it up in a accusatory fashion peculiar to you when posting about me, allow me to address your pre-judged accusations. I have very close friends who are hispanic, black. , not really any that are asian only because there are very few where I live. But I did date a cambodian girl from the local donut shop for a year. The demographics where I live is predominantly hispanic. Half the stores in town speak only Spanish. As for homosexuals ; I have rented to them, worked with them and been just as freindly to them as to the alcoholics and drug users that I am friends with but my relationship with Jesus seems to keep a a special close friendship from developing on their part not mine. You seem to have forgotten or not noticed that I live in California ...know what I mean? I don't expect you to apologize for your queer behavior, but in the future try to be a little more tolerant for those different than yourself. Post Reply
