Do you men find it difficult to meet Christian women?Posted : 17 Nov, 2010 12:14 PMI am finding it very difficult to meet Christian men my age and was wondering if men have that same difficulty. My church is a small to medium sized congregation with few singles in my age group. We've tried more than once to begin a singles ministry and it's not been successful. I work in a small business where I seldom interact in person with people so I have no chance to meet anyone there. For myself, I find it extremely uncomfortable to go to singles activities where I don't know anyone at all. So, after all that...do you guys have this problem and if so what do you do about it? |

Do you men find it difficult to meet Christian women?Posted : 17 Nov, 2010 02:07 PMI hosted a singles weekly group for 2 years that was very successful. It grew beyond the church so that singles all over the city from other churches were attending. Looking back I feel the key to its success was it was very well touted that it was not about singles, not about dating, not about finding a mate, it was all about Jesus. I think God honored that. |

Do you men find it difficult to meet Christian women?Posted : 17 Nov, 2010 02:27 PMThere are plenty of Christian women out there, but I find it hard to meet ones that are into the specific things I am interested in. |

Do you men find it difficult to meet Christian women?Posted : 17 Nov, 2010 03:10 PMThe pastor and I worked hard trying to do something that would appeal to singles and be based in Jesus. Just didn't succeed in our church. Perhaps I wasn't the one to organize it. We keep praying about it, but so far success hasn't happened. |

Do you men find it difficult to meet Christian women?Posted : 17 Nov, 2010 03:16 PMWhile I sincerely believe that common interests are a great building block for a relationship, we all need to be willing to show a bit of interests in new things also. Not to say that you don't. Just a thought that popped in my head. |

Do you men find it difficult to meet Christian women?Posted : 17 Nov, 2010 06:25 PMI don't find it particularly hard to meet Christian women, but I don't think my situation is particularly common. I attend college in a major city, have a significant number of friends in a small college town an hour north, and still have quite a number of friends in my hometown, which also happens to be a major college town. Add that with two churches that I visit when I go back home semi-regularly, church here, involvement in a college ministry that is active on the other two campuses, and that my roommate's fiance is also the president of the Christian sorority on campus, and it isn't really a problem to find one. The problem is to find the RIGHT one. |
