Are Christian women getting too picky these days............?Posted : 29 Oct, 2010 06:14 AMI think that both men and women are too picky these days. There has been such a push for perfect marriages that it has gone too far. I am not saying that one should compromise on Christian principals, absolutely never. But, people need to realize that you cant marry the perfect husband or the perfect wife. It takes practice to become perfect, and you have to be married to be able to practice at being the perfect husband or wife. |

Are Christian women getting too picky these days............?Posted : 29 Oct, 2010 03:03 PMWhat is the definition of "picky" here? I believe that DEEP within a ladies heart, that women are desiring the same things that they did some forty years ago. Godly morals, honesty, integrety, communication, gently love. But what has happened over these years? "Worldly" men was mentioned. Take a cup of red dye and add it to a gallon bucket of clear water. Now put that bucket under a slow dripping tab of "worldly" values. Over time that gallon of red dye is not as strong in color as it used to be. Statistics tell us that 50% of Christian couples were getting divorces in the 80's! How are Christian values being taught to the next generations? How are young boys being taught to love, when no example of that is there before them? I feel that this generation is very selfish, and self-centered. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it." |

Are Christian women getting too picky these days............?Posted : 29 Oct, 2010 03:59 PMYes they are. Dating is easier for women. Just looking at some profiles I see several women that are on 15+ favorites lists. When you have a lot of options you end up wanting the perfect option instead of just picking one that you can be happy with. Lori Gottlieb wrote a good book about this. |

Are Christian women getting too picky these days............?Posted : 29 Oct, 2010 04:26 PMI'm glad you mentioned the favourites thing...I really don't get that...I wonder if it becomes somewhat of a measuring stick in deciding if that particualr "profile" is worth reading...the higher the favourites number the "better" the person.... |
