phone numbers/personal e-mail addressesPosted : 28 May, 2010 03:33 PMWhy do so many men on here IM or message once and ask for a woman's phone number and/or e-mail address? I've had that happen several times now. When I refuse, I never hear from them again. Ten sentences does not constitute "Now that we've gotten to know each other..." And sending phone numbers to total strangers is NOT safe. Can someone explain this, please? |

phone numbers/personal e-mail addressesPosted : 28 May, 2010 06:04 PMI can't even count the number of times that has happened!!! 99 times out of 100 I never hear from them again. And 98 times out of those 99 times...... it was a scammer from a different country. Count your blessings! God is protecting you. |

phone numbers/personal e-mail addressesPosted : 29 May, 2010 03:12 PMPrincess- hah! No, the reason I can tell is that, within a couple of emails, they all of a sudden come up with a problem that needs MY money to fix. They are always in Africa on bussiness. Construction or jewlery are the current favorites. Then they email to tell me the bad news. They get sick. They get mugged. They get cheated by the "black men" (always very negative towards black people). they need just $200 for this business deal that will make them $1 million dollars and they'll SHARE it with you. And on and on. Always it revolves around them needing money. Last year I actually carried on conversations with a couple before I twigged to it. Now --- nope. I am already royalty in God's eyes, anyway. |

phone numbers/personal e-mail addressesPosted : 29 May, 2010 03:45 PMYes, I have experienced that. You are totally right. They even get to the point of telling you they haven't eaten in days and would you send some money by western union. I knew that was a scam. |

phone numbers/personal e-mail addressesPosted : 29 May, 2010 05:09 PMI agree, people moving too fast on here is a turnoff. My whole life I go at a snail's pace, don't need things to go so fast, that I don't know what hit me. :MrT: |
