I see a lot of people (especially guys) trying to impress everyone (especially women) with their (wisdom.) A lot of posts here read like a pastor preaching a sermon and it's boring. Guys, especially those who have been on here quite a while, you will not attract a lady by posting bland, "sheeple" remarks that don't show your confidence, competence, and testosterone. I mean really. Either ask a question or don't. Either answer a question with what you perceive to be the truth and give it a well thought out answer at that. Please don't bore us with your parroting of what you pastor or sunday school teacher said the week before. If you must quote anything, please quote a scholar. Maybe all of my, well I guess, ranting leads me to this: Those who see themselves as wise in their own eyes are foolish and guys desperately trying to find a date on the internet are a blight on the earth. View Profile History	The End of Fake Posted : 27 Mar, 2010 05:28 AM Hi The Dave, Question, how do you know who's being fake vs those who are giving their well thought out answer in 'sermon' form because THEY are pastors or teachers? I think most people answer or give their thoughts based on what they've learned thus far. So they could be quoting or paraphrasing their pastor from last Sunday or 10 years ago. I actually feel great compassion for those that feel 'desperation' in finding that special someone. Loneliness is a very real, strong negative emotion that is NOT cool. There are many solutions to the boredom you feel and the obvious frustration you have with men who are in your opinion fake because of their desperation. 1. Stop reading the forums. 2. Pray for the men who in your opinion are not being real. Since you see it, take your brothers before our heavenly Father in intercessory prayer. 3. Be an example by answering 'fake' posts with well thought out 'real' ideas of your own. I could go on and on (and I sometimes do), but I won't this time. :glow: I do agree with you, by the way that transparency and just being yourself is the best and least stressful approach to this venue and everything else. I LOVE you TheDave. I read your profile where you say that you come off as a know it all, but you're working on it. Ima need to work on that some more. :laugh: Post Reply

I just wish you'd done so by replying to a specific posting. Your "blanket" accusation is akin to tossing MudBalls at passing cars from behind a fence. I on the other hand am standing "face to face" (so to speak) and I'm calling you out. Your post sounds more like a petulant child wanting attention and I hope you reconsider ( we all misspeak sometimes). I don't want to argue this in this forum -- write me if you want to discuss it. Dave, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone -- that is what this forum is for (open discussion), but when you disparage good Christians and do it in a way that is so cowardly -- I have to Object. Dave, you have been disrespectful and have belittled some very good people. Youir intention may have been to come across as an intellectual bored with petty sophomoric attempts to impress the opposite gender, but what you ended up doing is using specious logic and being outright disrespectful. I guess I'm one of those you are speaking about. Was it my trite, juvenile rhetoric that gave me away or my southern, hick accent? Just wondering. In any event, I'm going to continue to respond to as many forums as I believe I can semi-intellectually answer. I may throw in a few quotes from my pastor, maybe throw in a few from Socrates. Shucks, sometimes I even throw in a couple quotes from Billy Bob Bubba Jimbo Jr. from down the road if the situation fits. Yep, it really gets the old testosterone going sometimes. That's my little way of contributing to these forums. That's how I make friends, which, by the way, I've made quite a few on here in the short length of time I've been posting my little tidbits of boring, know it all trivia. I'm no Rhodes Scholar so I don't consider myself a braggart or a know it all. I'm sorry my ramblings have disappointed you, my Christian friend. I'm sure you're a nice fella.
