And people can talk and talk till they're blue in the face. Godfearing comes through in one's actions. I also think men tend to keep a few "cards up their sleeve" more than women. We're all trying to "sell ourselves" a little here, but in general, the women's profiles are much more complete Post Reply
View Profile History	God fearing 2 Posted : 11 Feb, 2010 08:51 PM I'm goin' with Skinny on this one. It's completely "action" based, on either gender. A person can put whatever they want to put in a profile to make it "POP". In many ways, I think internet dating and profiles set up huge problems for both genders when trying to find a mate. Women... by nature, are more 'word' oriented. You can witness this every day by the 'romance novels' that women read and sends them off into fantasy land. So when a woman reads a man's profile that doesn't say what she wants to hear inside, or is minimal in word count... it can not always fully represent who the man might be in every day life. It is rather ironic though.... that I will talk with quite a few women who express their disappointment after going out with a guy who was "so eloquent in his profile... but turned out to be a 'total jerk' in the end"... So, as I said... it presents problems all the way around. It holds the same for us men as well. Some women don't understand as to how condescending and demanding they come off in their profiles.... To them, they believe they're showing "strength" or whatever. Men can be just as turned off by things in here as well. We just don't feel the need to complain about it.... I'd say that what I think people should like to see on a dating site more than "God-fearing"...is "self-less". Christians are supposed to be self-less. If we could all do that, then no one would ever have anything to complain about...because everyone would be serving each other instead of themselves. The first thing a Christian should be is self-less, that last thing we should be is a hypocrite. Yes, there are dishonest people, self-centered people, vain people...I just think we should look at ourselves with the same glaring honesty we use on them... :peace::peace: Post Reply

Especially on this site. The biggest complaint going round here lately is people who don't respond to pm or winks as example.. Some of what you all are writing about answers much to this as well. Heck! satan is "God Fearing"...so what does that say? Don't Hit...you bring up what I consider perhaps the most important trait I want in a wife...friend...Human Being....CHRISTIAN! SELFLESSNESS It is rare to find...one that is truly selfless and especially a man. This characteristic comes from Love (there's that word again!). God Loves you! If you lay down and let His Love wash over you...if you baste in it...marinate in it until you are Filled with His Love then you have no choice but to Love God and All His Creation. If you Love all of God's Creation then you will Selflessly give of yourself to it. If you truly Love God then your Walk will be a Selfless Walk and people will Notice. You know I seem to have this bad habit of forgeting what we were talking about? Post Reply

It usually turns into the selfless person getting walked on and forgotten by most people. Selflessness is like a catalyst...selflessness begets selflessness. Thankfully God decided to start the chain reaction by being selfless Himself...it would be so hard to be truly selfless without an example and a self-sacrifice like that. Unfortunately...there are a lot of people that don't believe in that sacrifice that like to walk over the people that truly do...makes it hard, but we need to be witnesses of God's ultimate selflessness and pass it to others... :peace::peace: Post Reply
