I just read last night a post in- Advice on love and Dating- from a couple days ago started by a fella "'Dukems" called "a single woman's guide to a Godly man's heart". After reading this I think (myself included) many of us would do well to reconsider our intentions, motives and ways of going about this dating scene... it sure got me thinking, and I do agree with him. Posted : 18 Dec, 2009 12:04 AM The book of proverbshas ideas on a godly woman.Over all she should from the time she gets saved keep her self for her one true love.Honor her man before marriage and follow godly advice. Inthe home after marriage is to follow the lead of her husband. And to bring him honor. Other personal ideas of mine.I want her to have a job to back me up.She should be willing to support me in all things.I like a good cook.I also want a woman who has good preception.She has to be able to read my mood as I am on meds for a condition and sometimes the meds make me sick.I have a personal need to look for. You may not be able to meet and speak with everyone. But sometimes a new acquaintance will challenge you to a closer walk with God. A "help-meet" should help the man do God's work. Posted : 18 Dec, 2009 03:20 PM dear sold, i really cant answer you there. i dont think anyone knows 100% sure .. you make your best educated guess and as for me i didnt have much education as a young man and even up in some of my old age hehe.. ive only actually thought i had the one one time .. and that was after my divorces when i found out i could truely love a woman as i am sposed to. and accept their love in return. although that ended with both of us still loving each other clear across this country.. ya gotta keep movin on and trying.. i dont know if ill ever have that kind of love again.. if not that was the best year of my life and no regrets.. cept theyre not here with me. smile ole cattle Post Reply

However, reading the story, doesn't it seem a bit deceptive?. In fact, there are many women in the bible that do deceptive things (including Naomi). Ruth went into a man's room at night and removed his blanket while he was sleeping. hmmm... i'm glad she got a marriage proposal out of that. And it appears a motivating factor was that he was rich since according to custom another relative should have first right of redemption. "Naomi sends Ruth to the threshing floor at night and tells her to "uncover the feet" of the sleeping Boaz." Now, i am not interested in having a big debate why Ruth had honor or whatever one would call it. I was just having a conversation with my mother and my participation with CDFF, along with these men wanting a Ruth type. That lead to more discussion on who exactly are these biblical women and their actions...all of their actions. THEN, this post came up. Just something to ponder, as men ask for certain "types" of a woman. M.C. Post Reply

This is a guide to explore, as God has shined through the eyes and the words to touch you as only He can. Then, there comes a glow. Once some words have exchanged and hearts have been shared in faith, and that faith honored, the light grows. From the glow, a star. When and if a sharing can make the stars burn brightly, then you have a little bit of the Sun (and the Son) growing in your life. Honor that, and perhaps you have your Ruth. Nothing is more important in this relationship than honor. First of God, then of each other. Both hinge on the application of Faith. Trust your heart to lead the way, for that is where God speaks to us all. It is up to us to listen. Post Reply

It is such a complex question, that would have to have a complex answer. How can you explain a person in a sentence or two. God only knows the one that he has prepared for us. WHat we need. What they look like. Both women had qualities that were highly esteemed. Every woman has qualities of her own that can match no other. Only the men I think know when , or have an idea , of what works for them. ITs on an individual basis. Post Reply
