Friendship First ???Posted : 23 Oct, 2009 05:17 PMa friendship is the same regardless of sex. we want people that support and encourage us, make us laugh, want to go out and see and do things with. some one that's there for you, makes you happy, that you look forward to seeing at the end of the day. i think alot of girls see this site as a job interview though. |

Friendship First ???Posted : 23 Oct, 2009 09:27 PMI personally think that a good marriage is built on a good friendship. I don't think that love is warm fuzzy feelings all the time...it is a daily choice. That choice is made easier if there is a solid friendship to fall back on when the warm fuzzies aren't there. |

Friendship First ???Posted : 24 Oct, 2009 10:29 AMFlirting can be dangerous depending on how the other person takes it. Single friends sometimes get mixed messages from flirtations. Most married people would not care for their spouse to flirt with others because flirting is a type of foreplay. Flirting may not lead to sexual intercourse but it is certainly a form of emotional / intellectual intercourse. |

Friendship First ???Posted : 24 Oct, 2009 10:33 AMIf you study the word of God - you will see that the mighty men of God spent almost no time at all in most cases in chosing their wives or developing a friendship with them first. But in order for it to be wise to go straight into a marriage its essential that both persons be strong people of faith. Most Christians by far - are not strong in principles of faith. As my favorite Bible teacher says "we are almost all baptised in unbelief." |

Friendship First ???Posted : 24 Oct, 2009 01:53 PMThats certanly true for a lot of people, but unless a person is insecure those are not issues anyway. A persons sense of self worth should be good and without fear of what others think because they know who they are in Christ. |

Friendship First ???Posted : 24 Oct, 2009 03:39 PMI think friendship is important...at least for me. I want to actually "like" the person I marry, instead of just "loving" them. I suppose it doesn't matter what order they come in though. Commit first, love first, friends first...if you're going at it the right way, you'll end up in the same place with all of them. I'm not going to marry someone JUST because they love God. |

Friendship First ???Posted : 24 Oct, 2009 04:03 PMYou can't love someone if you are not more than a friend to them. I guarantee anyone I would love as a wife would also be my best friend regardless of the period of time involved. |
