Posted : 26 Sep, 2009 09:02 AM So I have been noticing there are a lot of men who post pictures of them swimming, with just board shorts of course. So my question for the guys on here is... If a girl (not saying I will) posts a picture of her at the river or where ever it may be with a bathing suit...do you find that inappropriate? Just curious... Thanks -monica Post Reply

Posted : 26 Sep, 2009 10:42 AM dear folks, uh oh i am one that doesnt like the fake looking shots.. i do prefer someone to be real and just be themselves in their pics.. even though folks can go out in public all summer long in a bikini ,because society has deemed it appropriate dress. ya gotta remember society has also said thong bikinis are ok dress and even topless is ok too in alot of places.. 1 timothy 2:9-19 9 in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10 but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. now i realize that this is speaking to the dress of women in the church but arent we to take what we recieve in the church and take it with us as we go outside the church? or is it that once we get outside the doors of the church we may do as we please? we are told not to make our brothers stumble .. i wonder how many men are tryin to be good and see a fine looking woman in a bikini of today and committ adultry with her in their hearts.. as to look at a woman with lust in your heart is the same thing as adultery.. according to JESUS S own words.. we all have to make choices for ourselves as christians.. so let your conciences be your guide.. ole cattle Post Reply

I like a mix that shows different 'sides' of a person. Both in terms of looks and personality. Cattle has a point here, and I think it is one that should be *well* considered by both girls AND GUYS when posting that kind of pic. I'm not going to draw lines based on gender here. It's definitely not necessary and for that reason I'd say post it if it means showing a part of who you are and not just what you look like. If you love the water and being out on the lake, then, if you like, show that as something you enjoy and value. I should hope a guy or girl can see that for what it is. Post Reply

Extreme examples were given above. Will wearing a bikini lead to something more? No. Nothing LEADS to anything. Choices are choices. Stating that A leads to B is a way to foist a weakness off on circumstances. Devil didnt make you do it. I dont like the string type clothing 'cause I tend to think (about a potential mate) "If I were married to someone who did that..would I want her showing those parts off?" Not that any of this matters for me at this point in time, but if the answer is "no," then that would be a profile I'd pass up. If the answer is "Yes," as in the case of a standard swim suit, then perhaps it warrants a closer look. That being said, I quite like most pictures I see on here. Except for a few that dont actually show anyone...No sir, I dont like it. Original poster, wear whatever you see fit in your pix. I dont think you should try to bend who you are to impress someone you dont even know. As usual, though. All this is worth what you pay for it. :) -David Post Reply
