Admin	Something I've noticed... Posted : 27 Jul, 2009 11:45 AM It's so weird talking to people online. I mean, seriously...mainly b/c the things you say have to be worded so incredibly carefully...it's so easy for people to misinterpret what you say. One member recently contacted me & kind-of began a conversation & he basically proposed, or so it sounded, via the very first email...then, when I told him it sounded like he had been hurt by someone (mainly b/c all he could talk about for the most part was - who's out there that will be totally faithful & perfect like the prov 31 woman) - So, when I gently confronted him on this & tried to help him a bit, he told me in a nutshell - that this is why Paul said for women to be quiet in the church. Then he went on to say that he is a famous missionary...what a weirdo. Ok, I guess this really is more of a comment...I just thought it was weird. Maybe online is just not for me, but...there has to be SOME normal guys on this thing? right? Anyway, thanks to anyone who reads this..I really hope I didn't offend anyone! Post Reply

When you come across those whose testimony is false or whose understanding of scripture is sketchy, pray for them and remember that the Lord has the last word. Post Reply

It allows you access to WAY more people then any other means. However, there are a ton of dangerous and difficult things to wade through. Ever heard brad paisleys song *online*? People can be anyone they want to be on here. Some people like to lead you on and play with your emotions, others are hiding things... You can say ANYTHING you want on line, and no one can do a thing about it. Just ask the lord to direct you and give you wisdom. And be patient. And cautious. If something seems wrong... it usualy is. Sister may the LORD give you strength and discernment. But we all must remember to show love to all persons. Someone may think each of us to be a "weirdo". As a Christian should I call someone a weirdo, whom I don't even know nor have even met, but just heard one side of a story? Let's offer up prayers for the brother, because we really don't know. Sometimes we can be so judgemental and offend people away. Who are we and who do we think we are? The hypocrites in JESUS' day thought the people JESUS associated himself with were not worthy, but the LORD reached out to those same outcasts. GOD resist the proud and gives grace to the humble. For that same person can be reading this post and get the feeling that he's an outcasts before he's even known or have told his side of the story. Saints lets us not be ignorant of the devil's devices. We are called to edify one another in love. That's how people know that we truly belong to the LORD. I AGREE THAT WORDINGS NEED TO BE PUT TOGETHER SO CAREFULLY, I USED 2 THINK THAT CDFF WAS NOT FOR ME EITHER BUT WHEN I TURNED UP AT THE CHAT FORUMS, I FOUND A FAMILY THEIR WHO EMBRACED ME WITH LOVE AND CARE. MY MAIN DRIVING FORCE FOR SIGNING ON EACH DAY IS TO READ POSTS FROM THE FORUMS, GAIN FROM OTHERS AND ALSO SHARE MY KNOWLEDGE AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS. I BELIEVE THAT THE RIGHT PERSON WOULD COME KNOCKING WHEN WE LEAST EXPECT, IVE PERSONALLY COME TO THE REALISATION THAT THE THINGS WHICH WE WANT FROM GOD ARE NOT GOING TO COME THAT EASY, WE JUST NEED TO BE PATIENT, WHETHER WE ARE SEARCHING ON A WEBSITE OR IN PERSON. This fellow DID say that if I am unmarried, then I cant go to heaven..so, if that's not wierd or false doctrine...then I don't know what is!?
