Posted : 28 Mar, 2016 05:16 PM I can send a message to guys sometime just complimenting them or just saying Hello. I am just trying to be friendly but no one messages me back. Is it because I am not what they are "looking" for or is it because they do not want to have a conversation? Is it something about my profile? I am not a scammer and I hope that they are not thinking that. Any suggestions? Post Reply

It's largely a numbers game: Lots more messages sent than answered, lots more apparent prospects than dates that pan out. The more contacts you attempt, the better your chances. That is true on any dating site. The problem is all the greater on this site, which does not have very many prospects anyway: Membership here is pretty small compared to the big commercial operations. (Those sites have inherent problems of another kind! Those places lose money if they ban people, so there are a lot of people on there who are not quite as they claim to be. People have to do really egregious things to get banned there. On top of that, there are people who may be on the level otherwise but check "Christian" without much thought as to what that actually means.) I try to answer most messages, but there are various reasons some man might not. --He hasn't logged in in months. --He just fell in love with someone else and his mind is addled. --You live so far away he thinks it useless even to consider it. --You're not his type and he can't think of a polite way to reply to you anyway. OR-------Most likely reason: He's a jerk. Keep your chin up, keep on messaging guys you like. IMPORTANT: Don't neglect to look around you offline! Half the people are men. Best wishes in your search!
