What would possess a mature man, a Christian, to send a sexually explicit pic via chat to a friend? We knew each a little over a month, developing a strong friendship via facebook based on common interests, compatible intellect & wit, & of course the Lord & our mutual love of Bible Prophecy. There was a mutual instant attraction/connection, between us from the very start, the likes of which i have never before experienced with other FB friends, nor did i ever imagine was even possible.

Then the photo. It was shocking, disturbing, a violation of trust & the relationship. I cannot begin to understand or comprehend why this was even done - the motivation behind it, the need to do so. Especially from a Christian!

I would greatly appreciate insight & feedback from you guys, especially from men 50+.

And yes, i have forgiven him, and yes, i have given it over to the Lord, but i am still confused, & really would like better understanding & clarity. Thankyou so much!

Thanks! Can understand... Never occurred to me either. Hopefully someone will be able to provide some kind of clarity, whether practical or psychological

Though this is the "Ask A Guy" section, Katzander I just couldn't help but chime in with a similar experience I've had during my online encounters, which might give a perspective.

To make a long story short I met, assumingly, a Christian gentleman with a lot of the same qualities you stated about your friend and while conversing intensely for about 5 weeks, things suddenly went strange. He sent an email that...well was not only completely inappropriate but unexpected!! He apologized, I forgave...we moved forward communicating only finding out later that he was a scam artist!! In all that, I honestly thanked God I was spared losing money or my dignity!

Be discerning my sister when meeting someone who claims to be a Christ follower and then at some point in your interactions, an action or gesture from them makes you suspicious or uncomfortable!! Allowing The Spirit of God to direct you in EVERY encounter of the heart, will I believe spare you hurt, embarrassment, or possibly being financially fleeced!!

God's best to you in your search for His best!

Thankyou, Hisjoymypeace, for your post. It was helpful. I wish there was some way you & I could communicate privately, I sure could use an understanding female friend right now.

There's no reason or excuse for that kind of behavior Miss Kat!

Seems to me, as HisjoyMypeace stated, this so called gentleman was not the person you supposed he was and that he was posing to be. On one sort of positive note his colors were revealed early on before more damage could have been done.

That one guy or whoever it was certainly does not define the rest of us men on this site who wish to meet and begin a relationship with a genuine Christian woman.

Women be patient and careful!

I've been fooled too by sweet talkers (women) ... they will be overly sweet, telll you what you wish to hear but begin to stutter and stumble and be pushy over a short period of time if they ain't the real deal.

Hi Katdanzer...I agree with everyone here. I met a gent on another site a few years back. I thought he was the bomb. We had a lot in common. He professed to be a Christian. Everything seemed great. Then one day I was over for a BBQ and he wanted to show me a pix of his dog that his mom watches for him while he is on the road (trucker). What I saw was the wrong picture and he quickly scrolled it away and found the the one of the dog. Needless to say...He aint the one!!!...Keep your faith strong that Papa God has the man for you. God Bless you in your search.

I agree with Sojourner.

Saying something out of line ... we all offend from time to time with our tongues. But sending sexually explicit pictures goes way beyond that.

Whatever our flaws are, there are plenty of us who will NOT be doing that!

Katdanzer...first please forgive me for misspelling your username(smile)! And in response to your post, I've changed the age limit on my profile, so please feel to free to message me at your convenience.

I too would love to fellowship with like minded saints! It's something I've been convinced is very important to and in this life changing journey...seeking God's best! Stay well kept in Him.

In christian areas will be the same as churches. You will have some there who posses as christains. As John Macauther said

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lRkU4KrURI

Those type of people are the flashers of old. They are the insecure ones.

You know. There will be some that will not enter Heaven and so they must do as their father commands.

Hang in ther.

Just pray for that guy. He needs deliverance from his sin. He is mixed up and really needs Jesus in his life. I have never sent a woman a bad picture as the thought does not cross my mind.
