Two ideas: Men and women alike have a biological desire for children that kicks in at a certain age (later for men?). You have to admit (you don't have to anything, and maybe you really break the mold), kids seem cuter now than they did when you were 10, even if you don't want to be a mother yourself. I remember the period in my life, back when I was twenty-something-smaller, when I first realized that I desired kids in a way that made no sense. It wasn't a need for attention or friendship. It wasn't something about family and stability. It wasn't romantic, didn't have anything to do with leaving my mark or carrying on the legacy, and certainly didn't fit into my vision of life, but all of a sudden I wanted to squish little cheeks and tickle tummies. I even have a friend who is my age who's child-likeness makes me deeply happy in this same way. It's weird, but then, what makes any sense about sticking dead animals in your mouth (eating meat) or willingly losing consciousness for hours at a time every day (sleep)? God certainly painted a picture with meaning when He designed the norms of the universe, but that doesn't mean we all have to be normal. I don't ever want kids, not because I couldn't love them emotionally, but because having kids is a lot more than just a way to satisfy this physical desire for them. Second idea? Men don't want kids as much as women do. The vast majority of women want kids. Men want women. Hmmmm... =P Anyway, romance is another issue entirely. If you mean "why do so many guys want romantic love?", then you better check the history books again - that's one biological norm that is shared by almost everyone in every time period. If you mean "why are guys so sappy?", refer back to the paragraph above... heh. Post Reply

Ive always heard that men think alot differently than women ,so I really wanted to know for a guys point of view. Also honestly no, my views of children haven't changed about children. I still want to keep a nice safe 50 yard feet distance away from them. But I don't hate babies or kids and I don't dash my kin for wanting one. I just hope they don't ask my opinion about it, most know better than to ask me aways. ^^' Post Reply

Alot of the people I know who were raised in cities dont want children. "Why bring children into this crime infested, over-populated world". But they live in crime infested, overpopulated cities. Thats their environment. God said to be fruitful and multiply. When youre young, you want to keep your "freedom". You want to explore the world and many think children will "tie you down". But, the older you get, the more you want to leave a positive impact on the world. The world by itself is an evil place. If we dont leave morally upright children behind to replace us, the world just gets darker and darker. Post Reply

It is true I dont want children because the world is such an evil place I dont want to bring a being into it. I had to go through hell when i was small. I dont want to ever put another soul trough that. Plus I have chemical poisoning in me. So its not safe for me to have one, and most likey the child would miscarriage, be deformed, or at least autistic. And before someone says no they wont or you dont know that. Everyone else whos been exposed to the chemicals that were brought home from the facility whos had children,where deformed, severely autistic, and or miscarried. :< Post Reply
Wild_erness View Profile History	oh gotta another question ^^ Posted : 2 May, 2014 10:23 PM Hi Spooky, I also do not want to produce children, and have been rejected by multiple guys on this site (and reprimanded by a few of them) for not wanting to have children. I love my nieces, and don't mind kids at all, I just have managed to not get married at an early age, therefore I feel that I am almost beyond the child producing age, and don't think I should have to make a kid to appease my husband. I don't have a good answer to your question, but I wish I knew what the answer was . . . and I especially wonder at guys who are in their 50s and older who still want to make their own kids . . . and then degrade women who don't have the same goals. What are they thinking, I wonder? I look forward to more men commenting on this question as I am wondering the same thing! Post Reply

So true about what you said about the 50 yr old men wanting children... something doesnt add up there. Also my ex boyfriend was one of those that wanted a big family too. And I was not about to be miserable just to stay with him. We both parted way shortly after realizing nether would back down. :< I am so not having a child if I can help it. Post Reply
