I have let it be known on my profile that I am a Virgin, it sincerely is my pride and joy. I am 25 years old(i hear that's a substantial amount of time to be walking along this earth these days lol) and yet I get this question: "Wow, you're a virgin? Have you ever had a boyfriend?" o_O' *palm..to fricken..face* Why would you assume that being a Virgin means I've had no luck in the dating department? Have I missed something? LoL Is "is undatable" stamped on my forehead? If so, I'll be needing a scrub brush and the name of the one who stamped it without me knowing..darn ninja.. They and I, shall have worrrds.. WORDS I tell you! Ahem, sorry for the vent lol. Anywho, am I the only Virgin who has been asked this question? =__=' Post Reply

People are really shocked nowadays. I have only had 2 girlfriends, but both relationships were/are quite long term(2.5 years/6 months). So I wouldn't say I'm a total failure by the world's standards, but when talking to my "worldly" friends, they are shocked almost to the point of admiration: "You do have a girlfriend? And you've been dating them how long?? And you've never had sex?? How do you do that?!". :peace::peace: Post Reply

However lame it may ''appear'', virginity is something special and I believe if one is faced with animosity coz of it, that person is a litmus paper of some sort and those falling short of it tend to find the worldly conformity as a compesative mechanism. however, am not speaking on absolute terms, before somebody stones me. Posted : 29 Oct, 2013 11:16 AM Exactly, "DontHitThatMark"(sorry, I'd of simply called you Mark but was pretty certain that wasn't your name lol) When I finally Do decide to date someone, it's for the long haul. I have had relationships last for YEARS, and was NEVER pressured to have sex. Ever. I was even engaged and had a few try to hint around asking me to marry them, is that such a shocker? o.o (I'm not an alien folks, I swear..well..not today anyway, check in tomorrow and it might be a different story LoL!) I just find it odd that people think it's impossible for someone to hold on to their Virginity unless they've had a lack of options or opportunities to do so.. I cherish Virginity like a badge of Honor, it defines me as a person. ^_^ Lol Post Reply

Instead of encouraging them, they act as if they are odd for holding onto something valuable, when they sold there treasures long ago for much less.. If I'm to bless anyone with the gift I can give but once, it shall be my future lift mate, who ever he may be. To give a man the pride of knowing no other has had his lover in the most intimate of ways, and he is the one and only that shall be one with her, there is Power in that kind of Passion, that kind of unbreakable Promise.. I want to applaud you in your transparency and resolve concerning this topic......the man that steals your heart and is rewarded with your saved treasure, will truly be a blessed man in deed(smile)! My only suggestion to you is that that man should be just as yourself.....a virgin! Now that's a powerful scenario, don't you think(smile)? So that type of search, would be rather complicated, i'm afraid. ^ ^" But that's ok, anything is possible. They watch too much TV or movies/video games and think that there are not any virgins over the age of twelve left. 2. They feel conviction over having lost theirs and marvel at you. It is not just virginity at question. The older people that I know to include myself receive the same kind of responses when people (including those in the church sometimes) find out that we aren't sleeping around. I waited until just before my 22nd birthday and wish that I had waited longer. You are correct to have pride in the Lord for giving you the strength and conviction to keep your chastity. r Post Reply

It's no secret and I adore it that way. ^__^ Every woman who ever questioned me about it, young or older than I, always stated how she wish she would have waited. I found it mind blowing..yet encouraging! @ Apostelle :: I know a woman who is 31 and still Pure, as well as a young woman on "Say Yes to the Dress"(hey! I don't want to hear any snickering! LoL From anyone!) who waited until her late 40s as a Virgin, and finally got married to the man of her dreams. If more people showed confidence and strength in there stand as a Virgin, I think more people would accept it and consider it to be normal again. :] (or at least, one can hope ^ ^") Post Reply
