Isn't it funny?

Hey guys maybe I'm just thuinking about way too much stuff. But I find it funny that having gone through my whole life I've never had relationships with guys that bordered on romantic. I liked my share and they liked me but they all decided someone else was more worth their time. While I pretended I didn't care (because that was how I dealt with things back then) I secretly di. Then I met this wonderful guy and fell in love with him and he did the exact same thing, it's just he married this one and didn't tell me. Now I'm watching all my friends get engaged and have great Godly relationships and I'm still waiting. There's a reason behind everything I'm sure but it's funny how sometimes we have to smile like it doesn't bother us when things don't go the way we hoped. Some secret part of me has me thinking I'm not good enough or pretty enough or worth the time and energy but God is teaching me otherwise. Whew sorry just needed to get that out of my system lol! Hate feeling sorry for myself.

I know it doesn't seem like it in times like this, but you should know things like that are always for the best. Time is on your side. I wish I knew what the song was and who sang it but there's a country song about a guy who had all these things that didn't work out when he was younger and it was so disappointing at the time, but then later on it turned out to be the exact opposite and he was glad those things didn't work out then. I'm actually in the same boat right now too, so I'm just keeping that in mind. To the better days ahead. :yay:

A lot of people's interest (men and women) in the opposite sex, is somewhat similar to the interest a cat shows in a mouse - when the mouse stops moving, and the cat believes there is no longer a challenge, the cat looses interest.

This is sad, but true....

Many people's interest in someone else has everything to do with them, and almost nothing to do with the one they're interested in.

And remember...that someone's flesh will not continue to find "Christ" within you attractive. Except for the opportunity to lure you away from God.

no one is worthy outside of Christ, and pleasedon't fail to see the value you have....I know how you feel, its like this giant blind spot thats stays to the fringe of your sight.

Grace to sister in Jesus name?

The key to true happiness lies the title of your profile.

When a woman's heart is hidden deep in God, men who have no interest in meeting a genuine woman of God, will find her to be challenging as it relates to the flesh and vanity, so they will soon become disinterested with her. This also happens to genuine men of God as well.

You must be so deeply in love, and enthused with all that God is, until His word sets the standard for your character, conduct, and relationship with the opposite sex. Integrity, Modesty, Humility, Purity, and Faithfulness to God must be the foundation upon which you build your life.

You must walk secure in the character of Jesus Christ, and in the virtue which God bestows upon you as a result of your faithfulness to Him.

In so doing, you will repel all those whose hearts are not after God, and are only after self gratification.

You will also find the wisdom, strength, and joy it takes to stand, during those times of rejection.

Stay hidden at the foot of Jesus, until you can discern by the Holy Spirit, the heart of a man, and the hour of visitation, when God is bringing that man of God into your life.

So, within the context of the post, ask a guy...no, its not funny. maybe its time to drop the religious approach to life, start speaking in tongues and ignoring 90% or more of the losing strategies offered to you on the site...

sincerity is not the same as truth.

You guys are the best. I thank you for your kind words and wisdom. The encouragement was needed. Don't worry about posting twice that was done in the bible too when something that needed said had the greatest importance. Glad to know there are others out there willing to take the time to read, reply and even gain insight. God has always encouraged me to write things out I find release and His wisdom sometime pours out of me onto the pages. Here's to waiting and forgiving those who hurt us.

don't feel alone or bad there are many of us in the same boat. I totally know what you mean and could have written that post about my own past other than falling in love with someone only to find out that person married someone else. Many of my friends are engaged or married they all have successful relationships and many of them are much younger than me so it's tough when you feel like your on the sidelines in the game of love saying "put me in coach, I'm ready to play" But we know our coach has a plan for us and we need to trust in that. That doesn't mean there aren't times when we wish it were our turn. But don't give up and limit God he is able to provide the ideal match for us and till that time we can be satisfied and find contentment in him.

And there is a country song not sure if it's the one your thinking of but it's by Garth Brooks, Unanswered Prayers.
