I heard that there are a lot of princes in Nigeria who are trying to get their money out of the country, and if I would just send them $300 and my bank account information, they'll wire me millions of dollars and even let me keep most of it!

Well....That's how I knew you must be from Africa!

Okay, I can share some of my observations about Africa, however I must warn you they may not be flattering.

Africa is one of the richest continents on the planet in terms of natural resources and potential agriculture, however almost nothing is done with it. I know in Southern Africa some foreigners were successful in starting profitable agriculture communities, however they were either persecuted, killed or exiled by the native population who are now back to starving.

I also realize the people of Africa are so incredibly diverse there is really no such thing as a stereotypical African. Look at the difference between Metropolitan Egyptians and People of the Bush!

Now to a touchy subject : 'Race' From a American perspective it is ironic that Africans are just as racist as everyone else. Look what happened in Rawanda (sp?) People killed, no massacred each other over looks, a set of identifying facial feautures and skin pigment thought up by outsiders! ; the British. I believe the number one reason Africa is not one of the greastest 'Countries' on the planet is because of the repeatedly and persistent proliferation of tribalism.

On a lighter note: I would absolutely love to go to Africa and see wild elephants, zebra and caribou herds, loins, wow that would be great, where else on the planet can you see such a enormous amount of wildlife living as God originally created them to live.

Okay....I can't help but say this ...lol...I don't know how long it would take me to get used to the women going topless!....:excited::goofball:

I know it's hot and I'm no good in hot weather; which is why I'm not one for travelling abroad much.

NKatty,

I know a little about Africa. Many of the people I grew up with would travel to Africa every year to hunt there. I almost moved there when I was 17 because a hunting outfit (guide service) wanted to hire me to be a PH - professional hunter. Some of the greatest friendships I've had were with my brothers in Christ from Ethiopia and Sudan - I have more in common with them then I do with most people from the States, since much of my youth was spent in the deserts and mountains.

I'm also very familiar with the wildlife found in Africa - I could name nearly every species of animal that lives in your country.

My son may volunteer in an orphanage in Ethiopia this summer :/ not sure how I feel about that yet, since it is likely I wouldn't be with him.

In many ways I'm in love with your country.
