Here is a simple ? What are you favorite memories of the woman who meant the most to you ....could be mom, grandma, a teacher.

I miss my grandma badly especially this time of year. She went home to God 2yrs this June. I remember how she would never cuss..no matter how mad she got. One time I bugged her badly..she turned to my mom and said Brandy is being a witch which rhymes with something else she is being! No matter what she always had a smile on her face and arms waiting to give you a hug.

Mom has an iron will. If I can one day be a tenth of what that woman is I would be happy. Everytime something bad happened, even though she warned me not to do whatever I did. I would call her crying saying " Momma what am I gonna do." She always says the same thing.."you're gonna come home, get a job, and it will be ok" Not once did she ever say "I told you so" She would great me at her door with a hug and say "baby girl you're gonna be just fine"..and some how I always was and am.

Brandy, you a baby girl too?

Many women have been influential in my life. My grandma would told all 6 of my brothers and sisters in, out of foster care and raised us til we were grown. (After raising her 9)

My mom who even though mentally ill still prayed for us and still does.

My only aunt(out of the 9 they are only 2 girls, my mom and aunt, 7 boys, my uncles). My aunt who is only 12 years older than me who has always thought of me as her own child.

I salute all the women in my life. It certainly took a village when my bros and sisters and I were a small tribe by ourselves!

Hello 1Baby Girl,

I always enjoy your posts so much. Further, I appreciate your words of wisdom as well as the practical advice. Obviously, the village has had a positive impact for you.
