Okay, here is a quick and easy pie that my family asks me to make for every get together.

Cool Lime Pie

8 oz block of cream cheese (softened)

6 oz limeade from concentrate

1 can of sweet condensed milk

1 regular size bowl Cool Whip

3-4 drops green food coloring (optional)

1 graham cracker pie crust

With eletric mixer whip cream cheese and whole can of milk.

Add limeade, whip til smooth.

If using food coloring, add now and whip til color is thoroughly mixed.

With big plastic spatula stir in exactly half of Cool whip into mixture.

Use spatula to spoon mixture into pie crust.

Rinse spatula and spread remaining half bowl Cool Whip over pie as topping.

Freeze approx at least 4 hours til set

Refrigerate at least 4 hours but preferably overnight til ready to serve. (Or it will be too frozen to cut!)

Cool and refreshing! :yay:

Hihihihi...i love sharing some of the dishes we do here.

FRIED POTATOES.

You will need.

Boiled and Chopped(cubes) potatoes

Cooking Oil

For the Paste you will need:-

Salt(Enough)

2 Cups of Flour(Wheat)

Half a table spoon of Baking powder.

Half a table spoon of Food Coloring(Preferably Yellow)

Water(Enough to make a good paste)

Pour the flour in a bowl and add the salt, baking powder and food coloring.Stir well till the mixture is mixed.

Pour the water and make a paste just like u would make a pancake mixture.

Put it aside and set the Cooking oil in a deep frying pan.

When ready...pour the chopped/cooked potatoes in the paste and dip into the pan one by one using a spoon(or hand if u like).

Make sure that the potatoes are well covered in the paste.

Leave them to cook to a light brown color, turning them to cook on top.

Remove when cooked.

Here we eat the potatoes with some homemade spiced sauces....but tomato sauce will do.

Here is a recipe for Cornbread Casserole. This is my favorite thing to make because it is easy and it smells (and tastes) amazing!

Need:

1/4 lb butter, melted

1 15 ounce can kernel corn

1 15 ounce creamed corn

1 8.5 ounce package cornbread mix

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

2. Mix all the ingredients together and pour into a greased casserole pan or 9x13 cake pan and bake for 1 hour.

Hey Katie,

I make that as well. Since it's your favorite, see if you like these additions.

In your butter, saut a stalk of diced celery, small onion and half of a red pepper. As well as a half cup of sour cream. Then put in oven. :eat:

If you decide to try it, let me know how it turns out!
