Doing love God's way

I know many of you weren't married or even saved when you became a parent. It IS God's plan. He knows your entire life before He breathes it into you! Amen?

You absolutely CAN find love and worship in another, if you seek in God's chosen way. Follow the path His Word has layed before you. Seek to know their heart as God does. Bodies die, they age, the become infected and broken. If you become Satan's slave by lust of flesh, you will never have a Corinthians 13 kind of love!

Men must lead their family in worship. Women must be supportive of men and obey their husband. (Meaning as a woman you MUST srek a respectful/respectable/goodheartedand above all else GODLY man.) Maya Angelou once said, "a women's heart must be so hidden in God that a man must seek Him to find her". As a family a husband must come before a child, and God before them both.

No sex til married. No living together. Think Little House on the Prarie meets The Waltons. Go back to a time when morals produced love that stood the test of time. Do you want the kind of love grandma and grandpa had? Then live their lifestyle!

No. This isn't God's way. Many sincere and orthodox Christians will disagree with you on what men and women "must" do - and, in my opinion, they would be right. This is your way, which you feel is God's way, but isn't necessarily. Women are perfectly capable of worshipping God and of leading their family in worship. We do not need a husband or a man to mediate between us and God, because Christ is the only mediator and the only one we would need.

In Little House on the Prairie (never was a devotee of the Waltons), there was still sin and the effects of sin. There was sex before marriage, there was prostitution, there was mass genocide of the American Indians, there was slavery, there was Mrs. Oleson. It wasn't a time of the moral high ground, anymore than now is.

But there was also a God of redemption, who would have been responsible for any of the "good" that came out of that time... the same as now. NOT the moral values.

Charles and Caroline, even if they followed this "advice" you want to pass off as God's (and I don't know if they did or not, regarding these silly requirements for men and women) did not have a perfect marriage. Their infant son died. Their oldest daughter went blind. Their grandson died. They left their loved ones and travelled all over the continent trying to find a place to make a home for their family.

1 Chronicles 19:2-3, Joshua 22:11-34

We should not make assumptions of others; it turns people away from God. A woman could have been saved and raped when she became pregnant. How horrible would one feel if we assumed she was anything but Godly.

I think there is validity in what you are saying. For those who would dispute it, please read, "Boy meets girl" by Josh Harris before you make harsh judgments. There is scripture to back this view and it makes good sense.

For any one who is confused as to how far you can go before marriage or what is really appropriate, this book will help, though you must still pray asking what is best for you, staying within God's boundaries.

When dating or courtship, we must keep in mind the other person is a brother or sister in Christ and we want to treat them as such and use wisdom to keep things appropriate so that no one's heart gets broken.
