Is it still suicide if you're going to die anyway and you kill yourself to stop from being in a more painful or undignified way? Like say you're being shredded by a bear and someone with a gun finds you but you're already in pieces and going to die anyway, would it be suicide if you told them to shoot you to put you out of your misery or shot to stop from being further tormented by the bear? Would God forgive you for that? Or I guess no one really knows. And could drinking, cigarttes, and drugs but forms of suicide aswell? Even though they don't kill you instantly but over time they can of course. Just some things I've been thinking about.

I would say yes. What if God wanted to use your life as witness for Him at a hospital. Maybe you would be the only Christian they meet! Perhaps God wanted to display His Power and miraculously heal you to show an unbelieving doctor or nurse etc. Besides, a true Christian is in God's hands and you can trust Him with all you life. It may not be pleasant always, but in eternity it will be worth it all.

Yea I try to think like that but sometimes the pain is so great. Like when people don't consider your feelings at all and just shread you apart like you're a piece of garbage, just a piece of paper to toss into the bin. As if you're not even human... You're just a mangled bunch of confusing, pain, just all kinds of heart ache, broken dreams, bitterness, lonliness, and all those other painful things...

You are not alone. Consieder, Job- The servant of God, He lost all, but there was a blessing later on. Life is very short, even if you live to 110. Look at how Jesus was treated when He came in human form! When all is lost, and hopless, you just have to hang on to Jesus, He can see you through...if you will let Him. Just make sure you are His! If things are down, look up to Jesus, not others and the world...they may let you down. So praying that all is well with you! Keep reading the Bible, keep praying, and keep holding on! We all go into the valley, but if we are truly saved, we will receive an glorious reward beyond compare!

Onto the reward comment. See, many people try to do extra things for rewards in heaven. Honestly, I'm more worried about getting my foot in the door, rather than worrying about rewards. As long as I can enter heaven, I'll be happy:applause:

Why are you worried about not getting in?

Kelly, I second Tulip's question. You seem uncertain as to whether you're actually going to Heaven?

Regarding the original question, we're ALL going to "die anyway and willfully causing that to happen before its intended time is suicide.

God will witness as to whether you are His or not. He will not leave you wondering! This is for anybody that may read my post here.

regardless of a person's actions what is really important is the motivation behind them. Smoking, drinking and/or drugs is not necessarily something that will keep you from heaven or even be a form of suicide, unless that is your intended outcome for doing those things. I will add to this though that a dependance upon those things will show a lack of trust with God. Also, with drinking in any situation, the bible actually does not forbid someone to have a drink, but it does warn about doing that could cause you to walk away and disbelieve from a faith in Jesus. This reference is in Ephesians some translations will use the word dissipation.

Is it suicide if the person is unaware of what they're doing? I mean if they a mental illness that makes them completely unaware of their actions?
