It seems so much that people dont believe in marriage, especially those of "my" generation. Even some christians i know dont. Is it really that weird of me? Post Reply

View Profile History	Weird? Posted : 18 Dec, 2010 07:12 AM No it's not wierd to want that at all. It does get wierd when people start worrying or obsessing about it though. I know it's easy for me to do from time to time (not so much lately though since realizing this), but it's a waste of time and counter productive the extent and frequency that some worry and obsess over it, or make it an expectation and get really bummed/freaked out/desperate when the results aren't what they want. Wanting marriage is a mature part of life because in reality, it is a God given purpose for Christians to marry (according to God's will). Therefore when married, having that partner helps us do more duties for God. I know the Bible speaks a lot of marriage and that is prove enough that marriage is desireable. I know what you mean, our generation try to avoid marriage and think living together is just as good, but they don't realize that isn't apart of God's plan and certainly God doesn't approve of it. Lust is a powerful thing and need to be in the Blood so you avoid any appearance of sin. 1 Thes. 4:3, 5:22....i say that all answers are in the Bible :) Post Reply
