MovingPosted : 26 Sep, 2010 02:41 PMhm, just realized there isn't a Travel section on here. I'd suggest it if I thought the admins would actually do something about it, but haha I don't. Anyway, let's say you have to move from where you currently live. Where would you go and how would you decide? |

MovingPosted : 26 Sep, 2010 04:44 PMWell, I'd be hopping on an Audi S4 and a Harley Davidson V-Rod as far as the car and motorcycle are concerned. Regarding moving, I would probably pick Charlotte or Nashville if I were looking for a brand new city. Athens, GA is still home to me, and I have a solid group of friends there, so I'd really probably just go back there. I don't know if that helps you make your decision much, but that's my answer. |

MovingPosted : 27 Sep, 2010 02:38 AMIf I were you, Italy sounds nice, I could learn a new language and have some great experiences there. And, save up the money to buy a beautiful house as an investment and future needs. It wouldn't take me forever to be deployed in Italy anyway :goofball: |

MovingPosted : 27 Sep, 2010 10:44 AMBCPG, I'm sure I do. I've never been, but as high a turnover as Presbyterian churches in Athens have, I can't imagine I don't know a good number of people there. |

MovingPosted : 27 Sep, 2010 11:54 AMOne of my good friends is from Athens too. It's almost staggering the musical heritage Georgia has. Phoenix, SD, and LV have all on my short list consistantly. But we'll see. Sacramento could be also. |

MovingPosted : 27 Sep, 2010 04:12 PMTulip, I figured you might know some folks there, especially since they are very Reformed in their theology. I actually go to a bi-weekly Bible study that is taught by a couple of guys from Redeemer. Good folks out there. I've considered visiting a few times, esp. since they started a sister church on my side of town. |

MovingPosted : 28 Sep, 2010 02:35 PMThe thing that intrigues me about Vegas is the lack of sprawl you see in most other comparable cities. Yes it's definitly got city stuff, but there are also other places to go to rock climbing or fish or parks to visit or even if you wanted to take a trip to Lake Tahoe or Yosimte you could even do that. It also still has that west coast feel, especially where things feel new and exciting like Phoenix does. Oh yeah and it's sunny, but not sweltering. There are enough pluses there for me to make it a little more than just an idea I toy around with. The only real draw back I have is that it is pretty much the debauchery capitol of the U.S., but that's just more incentive to find a good church family there definitly. When I first get out I'm just going to go to a junior college to finish my associates in computer information systems while I get adjusted to civilian life again and get a better idea of where I want to go to college after that. Not a bad place to live temporarily, but not lay down any roots, which is ideal to be honest. |
